Cosy Lodge in Beautiful Village

The Lodge, at the foot of the Cotswolds, is ideal for a relaxing break in the countryside or a base to visit many exceptional towns and villages. Sitting in the Southern Cotswolds, Cirencester, the capital, is 20 minutes easy drive away. The Georgian City of Bath is 30 minutes with its host of tourist attractions and restaurants. The Cotswolds historic market towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury are 10/15 minutes north and south are the picturesque ‘must-see’ villages of Lacock and Castle Coombe. The recently renovated Lodge is contempory and attractive. The self contained space is light, airy and relaxing. Open plan entrance to the living room/dining room has TV, WiFi, and well appointed kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge/ freezer and washing machine. Double french doors lead to the south facing, private courtyard garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine in peace and tranquility. The double bedroom upstairs is invitingly appealing with its sloping ceilings and ensuite shower room. The Lodge has its own separate access, with parking to the front and private, courtyard garden to the rear. I live close by to the Lodge. I can be on hand to offer any advice, if needed. Quiet, friendly, rural North Wiltshire village with beautiful church and River Avon running through the village. The convenience of the M4, junction 17 is 5 minutes drive away, there is very little traffic through the village. Chippenham railway station is 15 minutes drive away with parking available at the station. Main line railway network to Bath, Bristol and Bradford on Avon. The quintessentially English village of Great Somerford is nestled in the heart of the countryside at the foot of the Cotswolds. Conveniently offering a local shop and The Volunteer serving good pub food, are both within two minutes walk of The Lodge. Beautiful village walks along the River Avon with picnic spots delight to show North Wiltshire at its best. The Lodge, with its excellent location and accessibility, can truly offer the best of both a ‘town and country’ experience.
