Bungalow 252 is a secluded hilltop cedar home getaway. Magnificent 130 degree view of the ocean along with Mt. Baker and the Cascades. Hardwood flooring throughout. Eagles, bats, deer and raccoons abound. BBQ, watch boats and sometimes view orcas from the deck. Nicely stocked kitchenette. Pod coffee maker with coffee, chai and hot chocolate, 3D HDTV with streaming. WIFI and cell service. Games, books, DVDs, binoculars and telescope. Soap, shampoo, conditioner. Curl up by the wood stove at night. Bungalow 252 is a two story unit with the shower bathroom, living/dining area, and kitchenette downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. Beds include a king and queen upstairs and a queen sofa sleeper downstairs. Upstairs there is a flat screen 3D HDTV with WIFI streaming and Blu-ray 3D DVD player. Downstairs there is a flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player. Marginal cell service and WIFI throughout. The kitchenette has a sink, pod coffee maker (with coffee, hot chocolate and chai), toaster/broiler, microwave oven, small refrigerator, professional double hot plate and a selection of kitchenware. A deck with table, gas BBQ and seating is located off the living area. Games, books, DVDs, art supplies, binoculars and telescope add to the fun. Heating is electric (separate controls for each floor) and a cozy wood stove (with wood included) downstairs. Covered parking in carport (extra parking for one extra vehicle if needed). Rental space includes carport, front door entry, unit and deck accessed through unit. Yard, deck separating owner’s home from unit, driveway and house next to unit are not part of the rental space. Owners' home is next to unit. They may be reached by phone if the need arises. Orcas is a wonderful island located in Northern Puget Sound. It is part of the San Juan Island Chain. These islands can only be reached by ferry. Animal life abounds including Eagles and Orca Whales. Our home is located on the southeast part of the island between Olga and Doe Bay Resort (just two miles away). The location can only be reached by private vehicle. 252 is reached by a short steep gravel road, resurfaced in February, 2021, (2WD cars are okay) off Point Lawrence Road between Olga and Doe Bay and is 15 minutes from Eastsound and 30 minutes from the ferry. Detailed directions: Left off ferry-8.0 miles, right onto Main-1.1 miles, right onto Olga-6.4 miles, left onto Point Lawrence-1.6 miles, left onto Roehls Hill Rd.-0.2 miles, right onto Roehls Bluff Ln.-0.2 miles to the top of the hill. Turn right and down the driveway to our guesthouse (see picture #26 for visual description of entry). Bungalow 252 conforms to San Juan County vacation permit requirements. Permit #2002PROV046.
