This home is part of the original 1000 acre working family ranch dating back to the 1880s. The decor in the home has been preserved to display our proud German heritage. Showcased are original family heirlooms including furniture, fireplace mantles, doors, and long leaf pine walls. The 5th generation owners are very proud share this home with guests. The original landowner and great great grandfather, E.C. Kreiger, was an active member of the Chisholm Trail (aka Old Time Trail Drivers Assoc). Enjoy watching the cattle graze and various wildlife roaming while relaxing in one of the three outdoor sitting areas, or from the panoramic windows inside. The main house sleeps 4, the separate outside room sleeps 2 and is an extra charge of $25 per person per night. Someone will be close by for assistance during your stay whether it is assistant host, Sophia, or owners Kirk and Polly if she is unavailable. Cuero is an incredibly friendly little city with lots of restaurants, shops, and unique museums. It is also close enough for day trips to many surrounding areas including Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi.
