A Retreat Art Gallery Stay in Door County

Experience my art-energy shared home surrounded by trees! Relax outside on the deck swing and hammocks. My shared adult (over 18) homestay, specialized for the solo traveler, is a perfect match for guests seeking artistic endeavors through art classes, theater arts, art collectors, and nature enthusiasts!) No pets, please. Please note registering as one guest means one person. Cozy shared home in the woods with a spacious backyard, but close to popular spots! Guests are welcome to relax in the living room, outside decks, and in the gallery when it's open from 11:00 am-3:00 pm. Off-season, my gallery becomes part of my home, and the fireplace is roaring by early November! I have an outside/inside friendly cat in my home. He is often outside during the day; however, you may also see him inside curled up in his bed. I have a mild allergy to cats and often clean to eliminate cat dander. Guests have access to the living room, and the kitchen is available for light breakfast and lunch use. Guests may use the refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven. The kitchen is not open at dinner time. Laundry facilities are not available. My newly remodeled private guest room has a double-size bed, hall table and office chair, and a hammock chair. The shared bathroom has a sink vanity for guests only, a large bathtub/shower, and of course, a toilet. Personal guest toiletries may remain in the bathroom. Outside decks, deck swings, hammocks, and lounge chairs are available for guests to relax outside. Door County has been my home for 45 years, and I am happy to refer guests to "where the locals go!" I recommend great restaurants, entertainment venues, quiet beaches, and hiking trails! I also offer personalized private fiber art weaving and paper collage classes. My home is an ideal getaway from the city for art and nature enthusiasts! Peninsula State Park is a 5-minute drive from my house for hiking, biking, and enjoying numerous beaches. My location is also a 5-minute drive to the Peninsula Art School, Door Community Auditorium, and Northern Sky Theater. Walking, biking, or driving to Fish Creek harbor and beach area is close by: A half-hour walk, 10-minute bike ride, a 5-minute drive A relaxing shared homestay filled with art, centrally located in northern Door County! My home has entry stairs, as shown in the primary photo. I have a two-level house design for a front high-view point and a ground-level backyard surrounded by trees.
