A beautiful Old Church House, set in an idyllic Lincolnshire village. Welcome to our home, a place of peace and tranquility. The house is the original church house dating back to the late 1800’s and sits nestled next to the striking architecture of St Botolphs Church, Saxilby, Lincoln. The house retains its original charm and provides all the comfort and convenience expected from a modern home such as large flat screen T.V's, entertainment systems, a log burner, a dishwasher and much more! The interesting layout of the house is made up of an entrance hallway with plenty of space for coats and bags, as well as muddy wellies or sun hats! A downstairs W.C with central heating boiler. The dining room has a large dining table that easily seats 8 and a work desk all surrounding an ornamental fireplace and our cosy book corner with views into the cottage style front garden. Continue through the house to find a large living room with log burner, a fully refitted kitchen and a beautiful conservatory with views over the back garden. Upstairs you will find 3 large bedrooms and a modern bathroom with bath and shower over. Guests have freedom to use our home in its entirety. My name is Matt and wife Rachel and I will only be a phone call away and more than happy to help during your stay. We will greet guests on the day of arrival and then leave you in peace and privacy. The village of Saxilby is relatively large but very peaceful. There are lovely walks along the canal to be enjoyed and a wealth of amenities such as a small supermarket, excellent butcher, 2 pubs with evening entertainment a library and a village hall. The nearby village of Skellingthorpe is also highly recommended with woodland walks and cycle trails, and an excellent ice cream farm with miniature golf and children’s play area. Only 10 minutes drive will take you into the centre of historic Lincoln with its fantastic Cathedral, Castle and Bailgate area, ideal for shopping and relaxing as well as several galleries and museums. Travel to and from the city of Lincoln is easy as there is a regular bus service and the village has its own railway station. The church has a service on a Sunday morning.
