The mountain of Pelion that thrones on a splendid green peninsula, with the emerald waters of Aegean archipelagos and grey-stone villages, is definitely one of such places. BLUE GREY COTTAGE that overlooks the forest, the Pagasitikos bay and the city of Volos, is the outcome of this love and the aim is to welcome and share all these with its guests. The selection of natural materials, and soft colours offer a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, without neglecting on the other hand the everyday needs. Everything is chosen with elegance and care for details, from the large and snug seating area with the big windows and the fully fitted and equipped open kitchen to the comfortable and refined bedroom. The two private and large balconies offer an astonishing and breath-taking view all year round. The BLUE GREY COTTAGE has its own entrance, so you may come and leave as you please. Stagiates is a peaceful village to the northwest of Portaria, living by the rhythm of seasons. In our little, but very charming central square, there is only one cafe, I Vrysi, where you can have a simple meal, or drink your coffee under the very old Plane trees. It is open from June to October. In summer it is open every day and during winter, weekends and bank holidays. In the square you should drink the fantastic fresh water, coming directly form the source. You may visit the monastery of Moni Theotokou, idyllically situated just 400m outside the village or take one of the five dreamy hiking trails. The village of Stagiates and BLUE GREY COTTAGE is favorably placed between two big and traditional villages, Portaria (2km) and Makrinitsa (2,5). The large city of Volos is only fifteen minutes away by car. The nearest grocery stores are in Volos, Makrinitsa and Portaria ten to fifteen minutes by car from BLUE GREY COTTAGE. There is a bus from Volos operating daily from and to Stagiates and adheres to a regular schedule ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) Nevertheless, you will need a rental car for visiting the numerous sites in mount Pelion.
