Wisteria Cottage is a beautiful stone property offering large, flexible accommodation in the heart of the picturesque Village of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as 'The little Venice' of the Cotswolds. From the road Wisteria looks like a normal Cotswold Cottage... but once inside you feel the true sense of space, with its various reception rooms ranging from the fire lit 'Snug'... to the expansive dining room which houses a stunning ash dining table ready to host eight comfortably... on into 'the library'... a tranquil spot overlooking the garden perfect for sipping a morning coffee while reading the papers.... and a large very well equipped family kitchen. The Cottage provides a perfect combination of modern comforts, traditional Cotswold Stone features and a touch of vintage charm and is ideal for friends and families seeking a relaxing holiday in the lovely Cotswolds region. Bourton-on-the Water is possibly the most famous of Cotswolds Villages with the tranquil Windrush River meandering alongside the stunning Cottages , adorned with miniature bridges, hence The Little Venice.... married with superb Eateries and Traditional Tea Rooms. Wisteria Cottage contains a wealth of traditional features from the stone fireplaces and walls to low ceilings and nooks and crannies. Complementing its Cotswold Character are comfortable soft furnishings, superb bedding, linen and soft towels... and all the modern comforts TV, DVD, that you would expect. Wisteria Cottage sleeps a max of 8 people all in super comfortable beds and plentiful pillows. A fabulous feature of the Cottage is its enclosed, private Walled Garden complete with stunning sofa's to lounge upon on a wonderfully warm afternoon and evening and a garden table to host your buffet or supper. The Cottage benefits from Free Parking for two cars details of which are available post booking. House Rules Security deposits A security deposit of £350 is payable, which is returned after the letting period, subject to an inspection of the property. For the avoidance of doubt, guests are requested to leave the property in a reasonable condition, consistent with the property's appearance upon arrival. In the event that the owners, or their appointed housekeepers, have to spend additional time tidying up after your departure, then the cost of this extra time may be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit is payable prior to arrival at the property, via a bank transfer or a valid debit or credit card. Occupancy The maximum occupancy of the property, including its grounds, is eight guests, at any point during your stay. Unauthorised over occupancy is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the cancellation of your booking and additional charges. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than eight guests at the property. Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by one additional infant. Pets Regrettably, pets are not accepted. Bed linen and towels Bed linen and towels are provided for guests. Arrival and departure times Arrival time is after 4pm and departure time is by 10am.. Heating, fuel and logs The property has a gas central heating system. Electricity and gas are included in the rental price. An initial basket of logs is provided for the wood burning stoves in the dining room and the cottage and further log supplies can be purchased locally. Services provided The property has free wireless internet access and four TVs with DVD players. There is no telephone at the property, however mobile phone reception is generally OK, particularly in the garden. Housekeeping Where a letting exceeds nine nights, a mid-stay clean, bed linen and towel change may be included in the price. Please check with us to confirm. Additional housekeeping services may be available on request. Child friendly facilities A high chair is provided. The property's walled garden is fully enclosed. Initial consumables A small quantity of initial consumables is provided for your convenience (eg. tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soap, washing powder, toilet rolls, etc), however, you should not expect the quantity of these provisions to be sufficient for the duration of your stay. Accessibility, health and safety This is an old property and has many character features, including a steep staircase, low doorways , low ceilings all of which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency. The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk. The front door of the house opens onto the street and guests with young children should take particular care to ensure that the children are supervised when the door is opened. Smoking No smoking is permitted throughout the property including the garden. Hen and Stag Parties Hen and Stag Parties are not permitted.
