The Little Lake Cabin - near lake with hot tub

Our newly renovated 1940’s lake cabin is the perfect place to spend your time surrounded by nature-relaxing, hiking and enjoying the lake. Take a romantic escape or bring your hiking gear and explore all the nearby trails. Brew a cup of coffee & relax on the patio or stay in and snuggle on the couch. Spend your days on the lake or exploring nearby towns, and your nights in the hot tub or by the fire pit roasting s'mores and gazing up at the stars. Check us out! @thelittlelakecabin Our little cabin is located in a small lake community across the street from Candlewood lake, and the property backs up to the woods of Squantz Pond State Park. Although we have neighbors, with a 6ft privacy fence on either side of the property and the trees and mountain behind the cabin, you will feel like you are secluded in the woods without being far from everything you need. ***Unfortunately due to short term rental regulations in our area, we must have the minimum night requirements. Please feel free to reach out for more info on this!*** ***Reach out if dates you are looking for aren’t available, some dates are currently blocked off*** The parking area for Squantz Pond is only a 2 min drive. You will also have access to the lake/beach during your stay! Beach access is seasonal and can change anytime. The cabin has tons of natural light, perfect for quiet mornings in, or you can hang out in any of the outdoor areas and listen to the birds with your morning coffee. The living room is suited for a cozy night in during those rainy days, with a big comfy couch and a large TV that has access to all the streaming services you could want. It has vaulted ceilings with beautiful wood walls. There is also a fold-out dining table with chairs. The kitchen is complete with everything you will need for your stay. We try to keep it stocked with small breakfast items such as: oatmeal, granola, snacks, as well as everything needed to make s’mores in the fire pit. We keep coffee/tea, condiments, spices, and pretty much anything you might need. It is all for you to use! The first bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, ready to make your stay even more relaxing. The second bedroom has a queen bed, with a purple hybrid mattress. You will not want to get out of bed in the morning! The bathroom with curb-less shower is complete with everything you will need. We provide robes for you to use during your stay, as well as shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Enjoy a nice summer sunset, or a cool fall morning in the outdoor spaces. Stargaze and relax at night in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature. You will find a bin filled with outdoor games for tons of summer fun. The BBQ grill and fire pit is for your use as well. We have kayaks for you to use in the lake or at Squantz pond. We have fast, reliable wifi! Perfect for working from home, or streaming your favorite movie! The keyless door lock provides access through the kitchen door. ***We renovated our property with guests in mind. We travel frequently and try to find the coolest places to stay during our trips, so we wanted to give our guests the same experiences we've had*** The entire house & property is available for you to use. You can access the home 24/7 during your stay with door keypad. We both are available 24/7 during your stay. We can be reached by phone, text or email. The town of New Fairfield has so many great restaurants and shops and great people to make you feel welcome! We are also located near many other neighboring towns that you should also explore. We have hiked all over the area, so we will be happy to provide you with our favorite nearby hikes, restaurants & other things to do nearby. Kent, CT (one of our favorite towns) is less than 30 mins away Also check out the towns of Sherman, Washington, and Litchfield. The Elephants Trunk Flea Market in New Milford is a MUST! It is open every Sunday (April- early December) We will be happy to provide you with our favorite nearby hikes, restaurants & other things to do in the area. We would recommend having a car to explore the area. I-84 is just a short drive away. 90 Mins from NYC 20 mins from the Pawling Metro North Station. Uber & Lyft both service the area. 1 hour to New Haven 2 1/2 hours to Boston COVID-19 UPDATE: As hosts we are taking this situation very seriously, and are taking every precaution we can to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We are using stronger cleaning supplies, whereas we would usually be using more natural products, and thoroughly wiping all surfaces multiple times after a previous stay. ****Please reach out if you have any questions at all about the steps we are taking to ensure your safety. We want our guests to always be as comfortable as possible. ****There is parking for 1 or 2 cars. Absolutely NO street parking. The lake communities have narrow roads, so street parking will block access to our neighbors driveway. ****We are pet friendly, but kindly ask you to let us know if you would like to bring any pets. ****The cabin is in the woods, so please expect to see animals, bugs & insects during your stay. That’s the price we pay for being in nature :-) **** The refrigerator is from 1947 and original to the house, it’s super charming but does have some limitations. The freezer is more of an ice box and often freezes over. It’s small and will hold trays of ice/frozen pizza/popsicles. We do provide a yeti type cooler outside to store all your frozen goods! All you need is ice :-) ****The cabin is in a small lake community, and we do have neighbors on either side. Our property is pretty wooded so it is and feels very private, but be aware that the cabin is not extremely secluded in the woods. ****The roads in our community are very narrow. Please be mindful of the speed limit, and other cars that may need to pass. *****We do not provide firewood for the fire pit, although sometimes previous guests leave anything leftover. Stop & Shop and the Food Center in town usually have bundles for sale, as well as gas stations nearby. We look forward to you staying with us!!
