Wheelchair-friendly Double Room + Ensuite Wetroom
This is a ground floor bedroom with a large ensuite shower/wet room. It is spacious and is suitable for disabled guests/wheelchair users with a ramp available if needed to access the bathroom with extra wide doors for easy manoeuvrability. The kitchen has everything to store, prepare and cook food with a dining table. There is a desk and excellent wifi connection. The bed is a small double, ample for one but for a night or two is perfectly adequate for 2 people. Extra bedding/storage space too. This is a friendly and spacious environment where guests will feel private and at home. We are on site for any additional requirements or questions but we maintain our guests' privacy and private use of their spaces. Guests are free to access the ground floor kitchen, hallway and bedroom area. They can also use the coffee/tea and reading area on the first floor if they would like. All the gardens and outdoor spaces are open to guests and we would welcome their visit. I am usually around and can be contacted easily. It is a lovely area nestled within the Surrey Hills and an excellent place to explore local forests , River Wey, Basingstoke canal and towns, such as Farnham, Haslemere and Odiham. An excellent base to visit places like Windsor, Hampton Court, Winchester to mention a few. Plus easy transport links to London and beyond. There are great pubs nearby and it's outstanding for walking and off road cycling. Guildford is an old market town with lots of attractive boutiques and shops. Other highlights include Petworth Park and fine pubs in and around Lurgashall, Bentley and Alton. Day trips to Wittering on the coast are easily doable from here or just relax and enjoy the gardens with tennis court and swimming pool. Other days trips to consider: Oxford (Blenheim Palace/Bicester Village), Cambridge, Stonehenge, Longleat, Stourhead, Brighton, the South Downs National Park, New Forest, Beaulieu etc etc - all doable in a day if you set off early. There is ample parking space here and although there are a number of buses, really a car is preferable unless you're happy walking to the bus stop (7 mins) or the station (40 mins). Good access to London and the airports and all major roads. We also have a range of bikes if you would like to cycle (10-12 mins to the station). The positives: friendly and sociable vibe here at Runfold. Near to all amenities and plenty of parking and space to explore. The negatives: no buses on Sundays or late evenings. No Uber (yet) although can get one usually from Guildford.
