Cosy cottage with stunning views of Peak District.
The cottage is situated in a peaceful location, four miles from Buxton. Few holiday cottages have such stunning views of Peak District countryside! Accommodation - double bedroom, twin room, kitchen/dining, spacious sitting room with Smart tv (new EE hub and antenna for fast broadband) dining area, utility, bathroom. Front garden with decking and seating, enclosed rear garden with seating, great sun trap in the summer. A secure bike store/workshop facility for cyclists. The front door leads to an entrance porch with utility room and space for coats and boots. Boot dryers are in the bike store. To the right is the kitchen with dining table and seating. The kitchen has an electric cooker, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher as well as expected crockery and equipment for meal preparation. From the kitchen a passageway leads to five steps which go up to a new, spacious conservatory sitting and dining room with access to an enclosed rear garden. This room has comfortable sofas, a smart tv, wood burning stove and usb and c charging points. We provide a variety of books, games, guide books and maps of the area. Gas central heating and instant hot water are included. Leading from the kitchen is access to the newly refurbished bathroom with corner shower and corner bath. The Master bedroom is next to the bathroom with double bed and storage for guest's belongings. The twin room is to the left of the front door and has standard single beds and a chest of drawers. All rooms at the front have extensive views of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Guests will have the cottage to themselves and will be able to use the front garden and decking area which has garden furniture and a barbeque for outdoor dining. There is also an enclosed garden to the rear. A key safe code will be provided to guests once booking confirmed. Complimentary refreshments are provided for your arrival. Parking is on the paving in front of the cottage and not on the gravel area which belongs to The Conifers although access is allowed from the main entrance across the gravel drive to the paving. The Angler's Rest at nearby Millers Dale offers award winning real ales and good food. The village of Tideswell has shops and pubs and The Red Lion at Litton serves great food and real ales. Buxton and Bakewell are 4 and 8 miles away and are charming towns to visit offering a wide range of places to eat and drink. Fourteen miles away is the spectacular Chatsworth House and Gardens with acres of parkland to discover, an amazing adventure playground and farm to visit. Lyme Park, a National Trust property with parkland and gardens is 15 miles away. There are regular events at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton and its worth looking at what is going to be on at The Buxton Opera House when you visit. There is a train station in Buxton and a limited bus service from here as well as from Tideswell. Dogs are welcome although they are expected to be kept on the lead in the front garden as it is not enclosed but the new rear garden is enclosed. Guests are kindly asked to ensure dogs are not left in the house by themselves and are kept out of the bedrooms and off soft furnishings. There is a garden to the front of the cottage where you can relax and enjoy stunning views or enjoy the afternoon sunshine in the enclosed back garden .The surroundings are very peaceful with easy access to the popular Monsal Trail as well as Chee dale, the Pennine Bridelway, Limestone Way and Monksdale, all ideal for hiking or cycling. The nearby spa town of Buxton provides all the usual amenities for shopping, travel, leisure and luxury spa facilities. The Opera House and Pavilion Gardens are well worth a visit. Tide-swell is the nearest village, two miles, where shops and pubs can be found. The nearest pub is The Angler's Rest in Millers Dale, real ale and home-cooked food.
