Burnham-on-Crouch is a famous yachting centre,steeped in maritime history as seen in the local museum and yacht clubs. Other museums include Mangapps Railway museum and the Museum of Power (Maldon 10 miles). Renowned for spectacular sunsets, riverside and country walks and cycling routes. Opposite the hotel is a RSPB reserve. Ferry trips to see the seals can be booked. There's a golf course and horse riding to enjoy locally too. A unique 1930s cinema shows the latest films.
