Bondgate Cottage is a 2 bedroomed cottage which sleeps 3 people. It is situated within a short walking distance of Bishop Auckland town centre. Guests have full and exclusive use of the entire property which includes living area, kitchen/diner, downstairs shower/toilet and 2 bedrooms. The property also has a private garden to the rear. Please note dogs are welcome however due to additional cleaning there is an extra charge of £10.00 per dog per stay which can be paid on arrival. Guests have full access to all areas of the property. Kevin and Eileen live nearby and are contactable throughout your stay to answer any queries. Known as the gateway to Weardale, Bishop Auckland is a bustling market town with over 1,000 years of history. Just 12 miles from Durham, the town stands high above the meander in the River Wear and is home to The Auckland Project a visitor destination which includes the splendid, recently re-opened Auckland Castle; the country residence of the Prince Bishops of Durham for more than 900 years and the official home of the Bishop of Durham since the 12th century.
