Villa Valentino is a unique and traditional Cycladic villa, with a fantastic view to the Aegean sea and the port of Andros. The house is only 12 minutes walk from the port and the centre of the small village of Gavrio, yet offers privacy and tranquility as it is situated in a private 4.3 acres of green land. Our beautiful villa (132 sq. meters) boasts a master bedroom with amazing sea views and two bedrooms (one double/twin and one twin bedroom), ideal for families with children or friends. There are also two bathrooms, and an open plan and fully equipped kitchen/living room with a dining table. Our two spacious stone built verandas are ideal for a quiet time in or a barbecue, with astonishing views of the sea. The property also benefits from free Wi-Fi access. You can also taste (for free!) delicious organic and seasonal fruit and vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, grapes, watermelons and apricots, all grown on site. We offer free transfers from and to the port on your arrival and departure - just tell us when your ferry will arrive and we will be waiting for you at the port. Furthermore, Villa Valentino benefits from a private garage for two cars. On your first morning at Villa Valentino, we will prepare a delicious breakfast for you, free of charge, using local products, homemade bread and jam and fruit and vegetables grown in our garden. Villa Valentino consists of two independent flats, the smallest of which is exclusively occupied by the hosts. The hosts are occupying the lower flat in the property and will be always available to help you make your stay more enjoyable. George and Maria are fully vaccinated and very keen to help, so just ask for anything you need (they both speak English). Andros has an excellent connection to the port of Rafina in Attica, with at least 4 ferries to and from the island, daily. The journey time is 1 hour (fast ferry) or 2 hours (conventional ferries). The port of Rafina can be directly reached from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) by either bus or taxi, 24/7. Daily ferries also connect Andros to the islands of Tinos and Mykonos. Both islands are perfectly suited for one or two-day trips. You can also visit Athens and see the Parthenon and other stunning ancient sites on a one day trip. Villa Valentino is only 0.6 miles from the centre of Gavrio where you can find all local amenities; restaurants, cafes, bars, local shops, ATMs, pharmacies , travel agents etc. Andros is no typical Greek island, as it combines breathtaking beaches with clean waters and fertile plains, lush vegetation and abundantly flowing streams. There is an extensive network of walking and hiking routes - please ask us for more information. The island of Andros is the second largest in Cyclades so accessing the beautiful beaches and landmarks requires a car. Car rental services are available at the port of Gavrio. The road network is extensive and in good condition and allows you to access the vast majority of beaches on the island. There is also a private hire taxi company operating on the island. George is a keen fisherman and owns his own fishing boat. If you enjoy fishing or would like to try, George can take you on a fishing trip (weather permitting). All equipment will be provided by us.
