Situated on a livestock farm and livery yard, Curlew Cottage, our converted stone mistal sleeps 4. The barn was originally used to house milking cows so the beams have been retained in all the rooms to maintain the character of the barn. With the addition of the log burner the cottage is cosy on chilly evenings. The cottage is located in Eldwick, Bingley near Baildon and Ilkley Moors and within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, Bronte Country, the airport, Leeds and Bradford. Dogs are welcome The main living areas are spacious and designed to ensure you can relax in simple, uncluttered surroundings. The cottage has widened doors throughout to allow wheelchair/pram access and a ramp to the front door. The property has private parking for one car [an extra car can be accommodated but not in the cottage grounds]. We have a separate dining room as well as the breakfast bar. The cottage overlooks our livery yard so you can see horses coming in and out, being groomed and being shod. All of Curlew Cottage is available for the use of the guest for a self catering holiday. You can park directly outside the cottage. The cottage is accessible up a gentle ramp. The main door is wheelchair friendly and it is all on one level inside We live on site and you will see us out and about on the farm every day. You will see tractors working and horses being ridden. We usually remain unobtrusive but are here to help you have a good holiday Curlew Cottage is located between Baildon and Eldwick near Bingley, West Yorkshire. Both villages have plenty of amenities, pubs and places to eat. The cottage is ideal if you have family in the area. You can have your own space yet spend time with friends and relatives. We welcome well behaved dogs. The garden is fully enclosed when the gates are shut. There are many walks from the door, you can escape up onto Baildon or the famous Ilkley Moor to walk over their windswept beauty. We have plenty of curlews and lapwings in season and a Barn Owl can often been seen on the moors. Why not have a wander down to the Victorian Model Village of Saltaire to see the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site? Visit the Media Museum in Bradford or have a curry in the many excellent restaurants. The start of the Dales Way passes the cottage. There are many cycle routes but you will need a car to visit us as the cottage is not on a bus route. It is possible to drive or take a taxi to Bingley or Baildon and then take the train to Leeds, Bradford, Ilkley or Skipton. You could book a trip on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway. The Leeds/Bradford Canal is close by if you fancy a canal boat trip on the canal. The famous Bingley Five Rise locks as seen on 'Great Canal Journeys' is only a mile or so away from us. The town of Skipton, gateway to the Dales is a 30 minute drive away, Ilkley is 25 minutes away. We are about one mile between villages. The cottage is set back from the road side. The garden is not private it is overlooked by the livery yard
