Beautiful colombage house on the Seine.

Our house sits on the banks of The Seine and is close to three beautiful abbeys. Rouen, Deauville, Trouville , Honfleur and Etretat are close by. Paris is 1.20 by car. The Monet Museum, Haras du Pin, Pegasus beach and the Normandy landing beaches can be enjoyed. Our large garden is great for children. We have table tennis and snooker. Go karting, Accrobranch, Paintball and Golf are nearby as well as sailing and riding opportunities. There are two great restaurants in Jumieges. The house offers a charming view of the river, lying as it does on the deepest stretch of the river Seine, between La Havre and Rouen. As a consequence some very large boats and sometimes passenger cruisers pass in front of the house throughout the day and night. It is possible to download an app to follow the progress of the boats, which can make some exciting manoeuvres as they traverse les boucles. The house is between two BAC crossings. Guests are able to use a self contained part of the house and the entire garden. We also have bikes which can be borrowed to cycle and explore locally. Guests are able to use the small gym and sauna within the house. Guests have exclusive access to the kitchen. Catherine and Benoit will be looking after our guests as and when required. They live a 5 minute walk from the propertyr. Tea, coffee, milk are provided. We can offer a couple of evening meals a week, made from local produce as well as home grown vegetables. If guests would like this addition they can ask for more information prior to booking as these proposals are subject to additional charge. The house is not only on the banks of The Seine, but also on the celebrated Route des Fruits and lies on a peninsula on the Seine, between two small ferry crossings. We are close to the A13 for driving to Paris or Deauville. There is an airport in Deauville which guests can be picked up from if required. There will be an additional charge for this service. There are two ponds in the garden, one in particular may be too much of an attraction for very young children offering sightings of frogs, fish and dragonfly, but is manageable with supervision.
