The beamed Barn is fully renovated to an exceptional standard and is set in the beautifully landscaped grounds of a typical converted Kentish Oast House. There is an open plan living space on the Ground Floor, with comfortable sitting area with chesterfield sofas; a large dining table and chairs; and a huge, fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with beamed cathedral roof and super king size bed; a mezzanine bedroom with twin beds; & bathroom with luxurious waterfall shower. The location is some 4 miles from the ancient market town of Faversham ("The Town of Kings") and thus, with its additional proximity to the historic city of Canterbury and its fashionable seaside port of Whitstable, is an ideal spot for a holiday. The Barn will be exclusively yours to enjoy throughout your stay. The fully equipped kitchen has hobs, conventional oven, a microwave oven, and an American style fridge/freezer so you will have all you need to cater for yourselves. A welcome pack of essentials for breakfast for the first 2 days of your stay will be waiting for you. A combi washer/dryer is available for your use in the utility room which is attached to the barn. Underfloor heating keeps the space toasty warm at all times, and there are large exterior shutters for your privacy and security. The luxurious shower in the bathroom offers overhead spray and waterfall functions as well as direct body sprays. The property is No Smoking, and pets are not permitted. The property is also not suitable for children because of the open stairs, and consideration should also be taken of the mezzanine sleeping area above the open plan living area. The Base Price assumes that up to 2 guests will share one or other of the 2 bedrooms: the extra person supplement would apply if both bedrooms are to be used. There is WiFi and Sky television, with Sky Cinema. Your hosts will be there to welcome you on arrival, and will be available in the Oast House to answer any questions you may have during your stay. The 'Fruit Garden' with its garden furniture and BBQ will be yours to enjoy exclusively during your stay, and you will be free to explore the rest of the 2 acres of gardens at your leisure. Fisher Street Oast is very quietly situated surrounded by farmed open countryside often cultivated with flowering alternative crops such as echium, borage, linseed or marigolds. There is a plethora of footpaths and bridleways in the immediate vicinity, so there are wonderful walks directly from the property - including Perry Wood which attracts walkers from across East Kent. Although peacefully located, the property is close both to the motorway network and High Speed rail services to central London. The Eurotunnel terminal and ferry services from Dover to continental Europe are only a 25 minute drive away. The mediaeval market town of Faversham and historic Cathedral City of Canterbury are 10 and 20 minutes drive respectively. Within 45 minutes drive there are many historic houses and gardens open to the public for most of the year - including Hever Castle (family home of King Henry VIIIs second wife Anne Boleyn; Chartwell (private home of Sir Winston Churchill); Bateman's (home of the author and poet Rudyard Kipling); Dover Castle; the Roman Fort and mediaeval church towers at Reculver; Great Dixter (gardens of the world renowned Christopher Lloyd; Godinton House and gardens.
