Cosy double bedroom in quiet neighbourhood
Cozy bedroom in our semi-detached family home. We live in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by parks and forest. Very tranquil and easy going with friendly neighbours. Parking space in front of house available. Our accommodation has shared facilities which will also be used by my mum and I. Feel free to cook yourself meals in our kitchen, but please clean up after yourself. Spacious room facing the garden. Room has an armchair, large desk and plenty of wall sockets. You have access to our shared bathroom, the dining room, kitchen and you may also park on our driveway. The living room is also shared, but you can use our smart TV to watch Netflix or Youtube anytime you like. I highly recommend that you have your own transport. If you have a car, you are welcome to park on our drive or around the front/side of the house. Parking is free. Alternatively, our house is also easy to get to via public transport. There is a regular bus service, both the X4 and W1 stop about 5-10 minutes from our house. Also, lots of electric scooters available via the VOI app if you enjoy living life on the edge! ;) If you prefer taxi or will be arriving by train, download the 'Lee Cabs' app for ease. The taxis are relatively cheap and much faster than waiting for the bus. Our house is a short walk from a Coop and Tesco, as well as a few takeaway restaurants including Subway and Dominoes. The household consists of myself and my Mum. We may also have one other lodger at any given point. We are in the house most of the time but we allow our guests to have their privacy and space. As it is a family home, the spaces are shared and assistance is on hand if you need help with the available facilities. It is a semi-rural area although quite built up. Surrounded by lots of countryside so enjoy having peaceful walks in abundance come rain or shine. There are a couple of gyms in the local area. Town centre has a few quaint little independent coffee shops, I highly recommend Bewitched! There are also a lot of lovely parks round town and plenty of places for general shopping. If you like high end shopping you can always go out of town to Rushden Lakes (10 minute drive) or to any other shopping malls in surrounding areas. There is a Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and a Tesco Superstore. Town centre also has a few clothes shops including New Look, Select and Matalan. Also, loads of great Rosette standard country pubs dotted around the area just have a (Hidden by Airbnb) . We live in a lovely little cul de sac. Close to main roads leading to the A14 and A45, but our area is very quiet and barely any disturbances. Low light pollution so you get to see the stars on clear nights. Very polite neighbours. We have lived here for over 15 years with no issues. There is a bus stop less than 10 minutes walk from our house, which goes to Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Peterborough and Milton Keynes every 30 mins to 1 hours. We are 10 minutes walk from two local pubs, a Tesco Extra, Co-op, chippy, Dominoes Pizza and Chinese takeaway. Lovely big park and forest just 1 minute walk away. Northampton is 20 miles away. Town centre is a 20 minute walk. Plenty of taxi firms to choose from or you can catch a bus (7 minute walk) will get you to town in 2 mins. Large bus stop in town where you get to most places. Train station will take you to London, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield... and pretty much anywhere. Wellingborough is a small town but got lots of character and many amenities in the local area. Parking is mostly free in and around the town centre, but of course check traffic signs as applicable. The town is good for basic shopping but most locals tend to travel out of town to Northampton and Rushden Lakes for shopping or entertainment. Wellingborough is surrounded by lots of nature reserves and national parks. I hope you enjoy your stay.
