Located in the heart of Abingdon's historic district, you are in the middle of all things happening in town. Just a short walk will take you to Barter Theater (state theater of VA), The Martha Washington Inn, amazing restaurants and local shops, the incredible Abingdon Farmer’s Market and the Virginia Creeper Trail for hiking or biking. Enjoy the views of downtown Abingdon from the front porch swing or enjoy the gardens on the back patio. This home was built in 1891, but has just been updated to provide all of the modern conveniences. The house is divided into 3 apartments with separate entrances. This part of the house is the entire downstairs. Smart TV's (Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime-enabled) are located in each bedroom and in the living room. Books and various board games are provided - perfect for a family game night or a quiet evening of reading on the porch or in the sunroom. Coffee, tea and waters are provided. There are 2 parking places on the property for our guests and any additional cars have on street parking. The house has 3 bedrooms, Kitchen, living room, dining room and sunroom. Guests may also use the front porch with a swing and other chairs. There is also a patio with table and chairs in the backyard. We live in Abingdon and also have a family member living on the property. We are always available for questions and will provide information on all of our favorite spots around town. We look forward to hosting you. This home is nestled in the heart of downtown Abingdon, Virginia. Restaurants like The Tavern, 128 Pecan, Rain, and Morgan's all provide an amazing meal - and all are within easy walking distance. If you have time, we recommend swinging by White Birch Food & Juice Company for a fresh cold-pressed juice or a freshly brewed cup of coffee as well as great breakfast,lunch and dinner. Zazzy Z's is a crowd favorite - and a lovely place to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee. If you are in town to enjoy The Virginia Creeper Trail - you can park your car and easily ride your bike over to the trail head. If needed, bike rentals are available through The Virginia Creeper Bike Shop or Highlands Ski and Outdoor store. If you're looking for a bottle of wine to bring back to the house - we love KatBird's Wine & Gourmet Shop. If olive oil is your thing, be sure to check out The Abingdon Olive Oil Shop. And if you're in the mood for a little jewelry shopping, be sure to check out our friends Mark & Michelle at Goodman Jewelers. No matter what you're in town for - there is truly something for everyone. Quaint shops and great food are just minutes away by foot. If you are a bike enthusiast there are bike rentals and day trips to explore. If you choose to bring your own bikes, there is plenty of room in the garage to store them.
