A Normandy treasure

This is a beautifully renovated one-bedroom cottage set on a 200 year-old farm in the heart of 'Normandy Switzerland'. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or for a family break. As well as being in a beautiful area, we are close to Caen and within easy access of the landing beaches, Le Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, Falaise castle and other places of interest. The cottage is set in land with fruits trees and bushes and includes a pond with willows. We also have ouessant sheep, and horses in our field. On the property we have games room with table tennis and table football available for guests to use as well as some sports equipment. The cottage is part of our farmhouse. You have your own entrance, bedroom (with mezzanine), bathroom, and kitchen/lounge. You have a private garden and access to the larger garden with sheep, fruits trees, horse field and a pond. We will be available everyday to provide information on places to visit, to give details of local walks and to share local organic products. There is the possibility of booking a local guide to visit the landing beaches or the Falaise pocket. What makes our area special is the wide range of activities; places of both natural beauty as well as significant historical interest. There are also exciting sporting activities such as hand-gliding, canoeing, rock climbing, cycling and a zip-wire within a few minutes drive from the property. We are close to the Normandy cycle path 'la voie verte' which crosses Normandy from the coast at Ouistreham. There are lots of local hiking trails. There is some public transport every day to and from Thury-Harcourt to Caen but car/bicycle is recommended. I speak English, French, German and Dutch
