Northern Homestay between the High Peak & The City
Lovely village home stay in a 1960's semi, situated between the High Peak dales and the city of Manchester in a quiet side road. Master double bedroom, second double bedroom +single bedroom with extendable s-double bed. Large kitchen, lounge, dining and conservatory with all amenities including fridge/freezer, washing machine/ tumble dryer, range cooker, dishwasher. Front + rear garden. There'll be a small s/c caravan in the rear garden for us as hosts (to enable us to host on site) Our conservatory provides a peaceful sanctuary and has allot of natural light.. The downstairs area is circular access from 2 doors so good for children to wander and play. Between 14th- 28th Aug there will be a 12' diameter hard pool instead of caravan. Also there's a barrel BBQ. All areas apart from the garage (and caravan). However many are coming; please book for '1 person' otherwise the price will increase 'per person'- there is a problem with the price calculations on AirBnB software so this is only way to get round it. This summer I will be staying there and if guests are booked in I will reside in the small caravan in our rear garden (as photographed). I will be hosting if I am not in London and we (my wife and son) will all be in the caravan hosting during the school summer hols). I can also provide guided walks in the High Peak District locally. I 've done my Mountain leadership training (in June) so that -after qualifying- I will be hosting an 'experience' as well as basic hospitality. Quiet neighbourhood, large country village atmosphere. There is a local pub 2 mins walk (The Pear Tree) and a more spacious pub (The Chieftan) 6 mins walk. There is a nice breakfast cafe in Hadfield Village (15 min walk) which has unlimited cooked breakfast for around £5! Plenty of walking routes to the Dales -even from the house. The High Peaks are 5 miles drive away (Snake Pass, Crowden etc) for hikers. We need to be vigilant of the COVID rules regarding distancing (1m+) especially in communual areas. We would therefore cap the number of guests to 4 total inside the house until restrictions are phased out in the summer. This includes the garden areas.
