Located in the hills above Pearl Harbor is one of Oahu's most delightful retreats. The higher, cooler elevation, with frequent trade wind breezes, make for a delightful micro-climate. Built in 2009, the studio cabin features cathedral ceilings, A/C, Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors & cabinets, & granite counter tops in kitchen & bath. High speed wifi! The private lanai faces the Norfolk Pine & Bamboo forest growing on the lower level of the property. Only available for 30 days or more. House is on a hillside lot. Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs. One open parking stall is included. All kitchen appliances are full size. Bed is queen size. This unit can accommodate 1-2 people, is not suitable for large groups and no pets are allowed. The Hawaii General Excise Tax is paid through Airbnb. Aiea is conveniently located near Pearl Harbor, the airport, Camp Smith, Tripler, Kaiser & Pali Momi hospitals, Aloha Stadium, Pearlridge Mall, and all freeways. Groceries, movies, post office, gas, major shopping mall, library, hospital, banks and many eateries are located at the bottom of the hill, about 1-2 miles away. Limited bus service in this residential area. Elevation is about 700-800 ft with clean, fresh trade winds flowing over the top of the mountain and through the house. No rentals for less than 30 days. Beautiful manicured tropical gardens with occasional bounty of papaya, pineapple, bananas, and lemons. There is a screened gazebo set up with chairs located in the bamboo forest on the property. A massage table is available for an outdoor relaxation experience. Enjoy the sounds of the bamboo and the birds during your relaxing massage. The washer/dryer, gas barbecue, gazebo and the gardens are all shared with 2 other cabins. Also available for your use are two sets of golf clubs, generic women's size clubs from Costco, and custom clubs for a tall man. And two hand-pulled golf bag trolleys too. Owners live on property and are available if needed, but try to give all tenants space. Aiea Heights is a residential neighborhood with very little noise, except for chirping birds, and a flock of parrots that make a bunch of noise every once in a while. And the gardeners make noise once a month for a couple of hours. There is a state park a few blocks away that has a 4 mile hiking trail and an ancient Hawaiian he'iau (temple). This ancient he'iau was used for healing and many think it still emits healing powers. The city bus comes to our street twice a day at about 6 am and again at 6 pm. I would recommend renting a car for this location. Very clean unit.
