Flower Valley Sanctuary, cozy lodge in wilderness

The Flower Valley Santcuary is a lovely panoramic cottage house nearby the Balaton Lake on an enormous 4 acres open land with full of high diverse fruit tree. Ideal platform for relaxation, ecotourism, the experience of nature. The land itself set in the Balaton Uplands National Park, which offers a multiple paths in to the woods passing by castles, lakes, old villages, vineyards of Badacsony and other landmarks, like the Peace Stupa at Zalaszántó or the Basalt Groups at St. George hill. It’s out of Várvölgy centre at the Vineyards, in the middle of natural surroundings. The house is a half nomadic accommodation, nothing from wire or tube. The electricity is limited provided by solar panels supporting green energy. The bathroom is run by a water tank. The kitchen stove is working with gas cylinder. The land has many to give from kitchen garden to fruit trees. The house is around 75 square meter divide two floors + plus the huge 30 m² terrace. You can park on the land nearby the house. Bike rent! We offer two MTB for rent only for the guests. One is for tall and the other is for shorter people. We are happy to welcome personally all of the guest at the house in between 13:00-17:00. In any other situation you can find the key in the keybox. You can find a classy style restaurant (tavern) in the centre of Várvölgy. The bakery Is inside of the shop nearby the restaurant. They have a high quality bread and pastries. You can choose from many routes via walk or riding a bike. The nearest walk to the Bakony is 400 m up following the red stripe within an oak and beech mixed forest. The starting point of the National Blue Trail is about 2 km away. This trail is crossing the whole country showing the most beautiful natural landscapes around Hungary. The Balaton lake nearby Szigliget is unmissable point for enjoying the base element of water. The Badacsony Vine region is 20 km-s away providing grapes since the Roman Empire. Popular types: Szürkebarát (family of Pinot gris), Tramini, Ottonel muskotály, Rajnai rizling and Chardonnay. Detail info will be shown in the house booklet on arrival. The house is accessible by car on a gravel road through the Vineyards.
