You live in a weaver's house that is at least 130 years old and in which daily bread was earned on two looms until the mid-1960s. Our newly renovated non-smoking house is detached and in a cul-de-sac right on the edge of the forest. Ideal for mushroom pickers and hikers! An extensive signposted network of hiking trails leads you through numerous natural biotopes. Deeply carved valleys alternate with gentle heights and allow beautiful views depending on the season. The Frankenwald Nature Park was awarded the quality region "Wanderbare Deutschland" in 2015! One of the Frankenwaldsteigla starts directly with us. In nearby Schwarzenbach am Wald, Wallenfels, Steinwiesen or Bad Steben you can rent electric bicycles and get to know the Franconian Forest comfortably. Come to rustic inns with typical Franconian specialties in our pleasure region Franconian Forest. Bad Steben about 15 minutes away by car offers wellness and spa offers for everyone in the modern, new thermal baths. In addition to the spa concerts in the listed spa park, enjoy the various healing springs in the drinking hall. In 5 minutes by car you can reach the ski lift for downhill skiing, as well as kilometers of cross-country trails and the mountain bike center Döbraberg. Here is the highest point in the Franconian Forest! (about 800 mtr. N. N) The varied landscape offers a hair-free climate in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Europe! Rafting played a major role in the Franconian Forest in the past century. This tradition is continued by weekly raft trips on the Wilder Rodach. It is only 3 km to the Schnappenhammer raft dock.
