Newly refurbished, we accommodate a maximum of 2 adults + 2 children (No adult groups). Seeking a quiet rural base to explore Cambridge, the wonders of Suffolk, Thetford Forest or a wedding at Chippenham Park? A mile from A11/A14, Paddock View is a bright self contained private first floor annex with a private garden & patio. Separate double bedroom + ensuite shower room. Main living space has sofa bed & a chair bed for the children. Kitchen area has all that you need for a self contained stay. Warm, private and well equipped, Paddock View annex is in the heart of this lovely quiet village. You have private secure off road parking. The kitchen is very well equipped with hob, fridge, freezer, oven, grill, combi-microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, tea and ground coffee as well. Two children can sleep in comfortable new sofa beds in the living area whilst you have your own private bedroom and ensuite shower room overlooking a horse paddock. Wifi is provided. This is not great for streaming movies .. we are in the countryside afterall! There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs and a travel cot (without bedding) available. A secure Juliet balcony offers views across the garden and quiet neighbouring countryside. You have your own sunny patio area in a quiet private garden. Free off road parking for one car We live in the adjacent house and will be available to help throughout your stay. Paddock View annex is in a conservation area on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border close to some great local attractions. We are very happy to advise on places to visit and of course eat. Chippenham village is just 5 miles from Newmarket, 15 minutes from Bury St. Edmunds, 20 minutes from Ely and just 25 minutes from Cambridge. Wicken Fen is just down the road and we are close to delights of rural Suffolk and Norfolk and a short drive to Thetford Forest, a mecca for those wanting great walks or mountain bike terrain. Phoenix Bike Park is 3 miles away and is now a big attraction for those looking for more family fun on two wheels. Norwich is a great day out and just 50 minutes away. The Chippenham Park wedding venue is 2 mins walk, with the village pub even closer. Le Hogue Farm Shop and Cafe, a locals favourite for breakfast and lunches, is just a mile away. Kennett train station is just 2.5 miles away with westward direct trains to Cambridge (approx 30 mins) and also Bury St. Edmunds (11 minutes) and Ipswich to the east. Newmarket station is also easily accessible. Paddock View is not able to accept more than 2 adults plus 2 children. Please do not enquire if you need a place for 3 or 4 adults.
