A 5 minute walk to the center of town for shopping, restaurants, galleries and bridge to New Hope, PA. Haere mai (hi-ree-my) Canal Cottage is named for the New Zealand Maori word for welcome; a theme we extend to our guests from all over the world. Contemporary, tasteful decor and furnishings. Large windows and skylights. Private upper deck and lower 'zen' garden courtyard spaces for relaxing. Modern bathroom and compact laundry space. The cottage is set behind a large private home with direct access to the pathway along the historic 'Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park' which parallels the Delaware River. High Speed Wifi, Roku (access is available to log on to your provider Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.), internet radio. Street parking available. Guest space is great for 2 people, but children or pets are not permitted. The 'back-yard' is for cottage access only, and is used by the residents of the private home. Our managers Anna & Joe, live close by and will be available by phone and email - as needed. Historic Lambertville is a beautiful small town located on the Delaware river. A gathering of antique shops, eclectic galleries and comfortable coffee shops clustered on the banks of the scenic Delaware River makes Lambertville a haven for artists and craftsmen. Its charming streets are lined with well-preserved federal townhouses and Victorian homes. Over 30 miles of canal trail are available for walking, biking, and cross country skiing, with access out your back door. The renowned Bucks County Playhouse, and live music venues are a 10 minute walk from the cottage. Getting to Lambertville via Public Transit: -From New York City Penn Station: NJ Transit trains on NorthEast Corridor provide service to Princeton Junction, Hamilton and Trenton, and Amtrak trains to Trenton. -From Philadelphia: Septa Regional Rail to West Trenton and Trenton, Amtrak to Trenton. Trans Bridge Lines Bus Service is also available from NYC Port Authority and JFK. Local taxis, Lyft and Uber are available in this area. Most restaurants, bars, and shops are an easy walk away.
