This almost 350 years old "retreated" timbered house in the historical village of Lengfurt radiates a unique charm. Natural materials like clay and wood, floorboards, and oak parquet provide a restorative interior atmosphere. Every detail has been affectionately restored while being respectful of its history and thus preserving it for future generations to come. Enjoy your vacation in a home away from home. Guests from all over the world can enjoy the cozy ambience of this lovingly restored, extraordinary half-timbered holiday home at any time of the year. With its 160 square meters spread out over three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room on the first floor and a spacious area for cooking, eating and living (with extendable sofa) on the ground floor, the house provides plenty of room for six people. The new kitchen (with an induction stove) sports a tiled floor from the 1920s, while the dining and the living room with their new oak parquet are ideal for joint cooking, baking, eating, playing games and listening to music (baby's high chair and bissinet is available). The living room on the first floor is well suited for spending time alone, to calmly read a book or to watch TV. The large selection of books includes Nobel laureates from the beginning of the 20th century until now, and there is a good selection of CDs as well. Sitting on the terrace, you will enjoy the sun above the rooftops or the view over the banks of the river Main. On hot days you may prefer the enclosed inner courtyard and in the wintertime, the exquisite tiled stove provides a special kind of pleasant warmth in addition to the central heating. You are free to use the whole living area including the balcony, as well as the small romantic inner courtyard equipped with garden furniture for eating, gaming, lazing … The courtyard features a lockable gate, and may also accommodate your bicycles or motorcycles. Guests with small children appreciate the security of the inner courtyard. One of us will usually be on site to gladly answer your questions and give you tips for nice excursions. The house also contains a wealth of informative material for planning and about places worth visiting. Well equipped in every situation Close to your vacation home, you find a well-stocked supermarket including a coffee shop and bakery. A pharmacy and two banks with ATMs are only a 5-minute walk away. Additional shopping opportunities are in the villages Marktheidenfeld (5km) or Wertheim (10km). You can go outlet shopping close to the freeway access Wertheim/Lengfurt (6km) in "Wertheim Village". And of course, there are countless vineyards in Triefenstein and across the region. We're happy to provide further recommendations by request. Relax in Franconia This impressive vacation home at the Spessart gate is close to the river Main, surrounded by vineyards. Picturesque villages, old castle ruins, and historic buildings are found all across the region. The Franconian hospitality can be experienced through wine festivals in summer or comfortable wine lounges in winter. You can reach Triefenstein via the A3. Take the exit Marktheidenfeld if you arrive from Frankfurt, or the exit Wertheim if you arrive from Würzburg. You can stop the car in front of the house for loading and unloading. Free public parking with plenty of spots can be found 100m away. To ensure subsequent guests will be able to enjoy their stay, please treat your temporary home with care.
