Beautiful lakeside summer home

Screened-in porch overlooking a beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, boating. Large main room for gathering with friends and family. Our cottage is nestled in trees, yet a short train ride from NYC. Simple and beautiful. A perfect getaway! Large A-frame vacation cottage on private lake. Large great room with stone fireplace, private bedroom, sleeping loft, wrap-around screen porch. 1.5 baths, full kitchen, 2.5 wooded-acres with lake view and private dock. Wireless internet. Swim, boat, sail, fish. (no gas motors allowed on the lake or outside/unregistered boats). Easily sleeps 5. Can sleep more. No Smoking. Summer only. Available May 1 - October 1 (flexible). 20 minutes by car to New Haven and Yale University. Stratford Train Station for commuter rail to NYC a 10 minute drive away. Family home that has been used and loved for many summers, but we can't get there this summer and would love to have others enjoy it. Guests have full access to the entire home and lake. You will have the full house. I am always at the other end of the phone, but unless you need me I will not bother you. Coming out of NYC, Stratford is the closest train station. You will want a car with you at the house to go for groceries, etc. New Haven is just about 20 minutes away with lots of restaurants and activities. There is excellent wifi connection throughout the house and cell reception at both the house and down at the lake. There is no landline available in the house. The bedroom has an a/c and heat unit. The rest of the house is fans and breeze for heat (and, of course, the lake!) and the fireplace for cold.
