Live in a more than spacious 230 m² holiday apartment 'Ferienwohnung Geschendorf', lovingly furnished with a mix of country style and modern. In total, up to 10 people can find a comfortable place to stay in our five bedrooms. Two spacious bathrooms and a guest toilet complete the pleasant feeling of living. The apartment is close to other farms so that occasional 'country air' can disturb sensitive noses. Surroundings: Geschendorf is centrally located on the Wagrien peninsula in the immediate vicinity of Lübeck (18 km motorway) and Bad Segeberg (10 km). Thanks to the direct connection to the A20 (Baltic Sea motorway), even the east of Hamburg (60 km) can be reached quickly. The Baltic Sea is not in front of the door, but the Baltic Sea resort of Scharbeutz and other seaside resorts can be reached in 30 km. Not only the world cultural heritage of Lübeck, but also the southern foothills of the East Holstein lake district with beautifully situated goods invite you to impressive excursions. The district town of Bad Segeberg offers, besides the Großer Segeberger See and the Ihlsee, one of the largest karst caves in Germany and the unique bat center Noctalis. Geschendorf is conveniently located east of Bad Segeberg for visitors to the Karl May Festival. The core of our apartment C is the old threshing floor of the farmhouse. You can still see the old hatches through which hay, straw and grain used to be brought to the Tennenboden. The stables of the cows and horses were left and right, where the kitchen is today and the bathrooms are on the other side. Thanks to generous glazing based on historical interior glazing, we succeeded in creating bright rooms. The threshing floor itself is heated by underfloor heating and the rooms have conventional central heating. The furniture is all northern German and comes partly from the house. The large Empire dowry chest certainly brought one of our ancestors into the house and the best dishes were put on display in the boast hans. The oak cabinet in the kitchen (Wilhelminian style in the Biedermeier style) served as a screw cabinet in the workshop for decades and was badly warped by the load of iron. With a lot of love and work we managed to restore the furniture and find an ideal place for it. Lots of space for more people too Five bedrooms can accommodate up to ten people. For eight, however, it will be a little more comfortable. There is a bathroom on each floor. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor. An extra 'media room' relaxes the situation if the film or music tastes are different or an ever present television is not desired. If necessary, different programs can be watched below and above, since there are two televisions. As in the other apartments, a free WiFi hot spot is available. The code for this is stored in the apartment. In bad weather you can snuggle up by the fireplace, in good weather the terrace with grill is waiting for you.
