Travellers Rest shepherds hut in New Forest

A comfortable newly built traditional shepherds hut located in the New Forest National Park. High rise double bed with storage underneath for shoes and clothing. Kitchen area with double gas hob and water via a hand pump which is best suited for morning tea, coffee and light snacks. Separate WC & hot power shower for the use of our 2 huts. Note, Hut is located within a camp site, other guests may pass in front of the hut. We supply the bed linen but please bring your own towels. This hut is set within one of our fields in the New Forest. You will overlook alpacas and will hopefully get treated to a beautiful sunset in the evening. A picnic bench is outside for your use. Please note this hut only has one electric socket but has a usb charging point. Cooking facilities are basic but there are plenty of pubs all within walking distance if you wish to eat out. There is a separate toilet and shower only accessible to guests who stay in the huts. You will need to walk a short distance to this enclosed area. Please bring your own towels We live and work on site and we are always around for any advice We are located on a main cycle, horse and hiking route. There are 7 pubs within a mile all offering a variation of costs and service, something for everyone. Access to the forest is only a short distance away. This hut is ideal for an active break or equally to chill with a good book and recharge your batteries. Public transport is limited so a car or bike is recommended if you wish to explore. Nearest train station is Ashurst, Totton or Romsey. Please bring a torch as it can get very dark on the way back from the pub. Good access to lots of local amenities.
