Jinja BaseCamp - Mountain House

Mountain House has three bedrooms, (two of which are en-suite), an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchenette and has access to a lovely swimming pool. Tall trees provide excellent shade and a wonderful habitat for a wide range of birds. Mountain House is part of Jinja Basecamp; a bed and breakfast offering affordable accommodation to travellers exploring Jinja! Jinja is the source of the mighty Nile River and is home to a vast array of activities; for both the adventure seekers and those looking to slow down and take in the beauty of Uganda. All guests will be met on arrival by either myself, or one of my staff. Our neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful with large trees providing leafy shade. African Grey parrots are often seen and heard. River tours are popular as is white water rafting and kayaking. An easy walk gets you to central town or there are boda boda, (motorcycle taxis) or special hire taxis readily available. Breakfast is included in your stay and consists of Ugandan tea or freshly ground Ugandan coffee, a "rolex"which is an omelette wrapped inside a tortilla served with a selection of fresh fruit.
