CC1: Colonial Beach & Dahlgren

The smallest of my cottages has the MOST extraordinary views! Has been family beach cottage for over 30 years & my personal home for 7 years. I vacate for guests & stay on my boat at local marina. If you've always wanted to wake up to sunrise over the Potomac River, this is the place for you. Circa 1950s remodeled cottage perfect for writers & artists. Pet Friendly w/fee, fenced yard, 2 cats live on property. Military Friendly, Guests are responsible for feeding (cat food provided) twice a day. Great room overlooks the Mighty Potomac River with 180 degree view. The space includes remodeled galley style kitchen, large utility & dressing room, tiny bedroom with double brass bed. This is my primary residence so some of my things will remain in the cottage and I may need to access on occasion w/notice. There are two older outdoor cats, Spotsy & Little T, which I feed twice a day. Cottage is pet friendly with fenced back yard and lots of shade. Pet Fee is $100 per visit. You will have access to all interior spaces, front & rear yards, and decks. I live full time in Colonial Beach and when this cottage is rented, I will be staying at one of my other cottages or on my boat. I, or my co-host, Caroline, will need to access the cottage for occasional cleaning and access to supplies. One of us is always available by text message or via the Airbnb App. Cottage is located in the section of Colonial Beach known as Classic Shores, or "the numbered streets." One mile to town center, easily reached by bicycle or golf care, or walk along the river's edge! We are a golf cart town, bike-able and walkable.
