You may wonder why these unique houses are referred to as “Tents.”Vineyard Grove was designed from the history of Wesleyan Grove in Martha's Vineyard, borrowed from the "tent communities" that sprang up around 19th-century revival meetings. These Tents are charming replicas of the Carpenter Gothic Style Victorians of that time. Stroll to restaurants and shops of downtown Irvington, and a short drive to other Northern Neck towns such as Kilmarnock and White Stone.
