The Red Lion, Odiham
Our premium pub and inn has been designed with modern decor to provide a relaxing, inviting and stylish place to eat, drink and sleep. Rates are inclusive of a cooked breakfast each day. As our guest, enjoy the benefits of our popular pub restaurant downstairs; relax by the fire catching up on the papers, dine with us or simply pass time over a drink or two. We are located in the heart of Odiham's high street. Street parking and public pay-and-display car parking are available. Stay the night in our boutique and stylish, luxury rooms where you will enjoy Hampshire-roasted Mozzo coffee and tea facilities, ESPA toiletries, and Classic FM melodies to lull you to sleep. These are just a few of the many small touches you will find in your room. Each of the 7 rooms has a working area and a modern en-suite bathroom. The pub has two sets of interconnecting rooms available to enlarge your living space, Please note, these must be requested at the time of booking, as are subject to availability and not available to book directly, online. We are now a dog-friendly inn too, with a small selection of allocated rooms (a £15 supplement per night applies) that you and your four-legged friends can stay in, alongside dining downstairs. Again, you will need to request a dog-friendly room in advance, before booking online; feel free to call us to check availability. Please be aware, some room ceilings are low due to the age of the building. Your room may differ from the gallery pictures displayed. As our building dates back to the early 15th Century, sadly we cannot integrate air conditioning into our room offerings, room fans are readily available. As our guest, you will have access to all areas of the pub and hotel during opening hours. Once the pub has closed, the pub areas will be locked. You will still have access to the resident's entrance should you be returning late. The accommodation located above the pub is linked by a public corridor, only residents have access to this space and is protected by a locked entry door. The rooms are located across two floors. A member of staff is available all day between 7 am and 10 pm. An out-of-hours telephone number will be provided upon arrival should you require our assistance when the pub is closed. We will do everything we can to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Odiham is a beautiful town that has strong links to the Royal Airforce. Ideally located close to the M3 and A3, it is a great base to enjoy a staycation! Enjoy day trips to the coast, theme parks, the zoo, country parks, vineyards and so much more. The high street itself is incredibly quaint with a selection of independent businesses including cafes and restaurants, a deli, a florist, an antique shop, and much more. At the bottom of the high street you will find the Basingstoke Canal should you wish to enjoy a few hours on the water; rowboats, paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks are available to hire (please note, this is seasonal). In order to enjoy the most of the local area, we do recommend having access to a car. Whilst public transport is available in and around the town, we do recommend, for ease, that you drive. The closest train station is approximately 10 minutes away and we would suggest pre-booking a taxi to meet you on arrival. There is a selection of local walks, bike routes and businesses to enjoy without the need of a car. We can provide safe storage of bikes overnight. Please be aware, we are an operating public house and will have customers throughout the day until closing. During the summer months, if you sleep with a window open, you may sometimes find the front of the pub (roadside) can get a little noisy as customers sit outside or depart the pub. Noise is limited to opening times. Due to the age of the property, ceiling heights in some rooms are low and we are not able to enjoy built-in air conditioning. Room fans are provided.
