The Old Forge
A relaxing and private 1 bed converted forge. The Old Forge is a recently renovated former blacksmith's forge. It has been thoughtfully and tastefully restored and now provides a spacious, warm and comfortable space. The Old Forge offers garden views, with a bright and airy feel to an an ancient building. It has it's own entrance. The Old Forge provides guests with a unique experience, resting, and sleeping in a tastefully restored listed building. Whilst it is in the centre of Midhurst it is very secluded and peaceful. Guests have sole use of the Old Forge. For stays during cold periods, the Old Forge has a wood burning stove, (logs provided) in the open plan room. There is a small kitchenette with butlers sink, kettle, toaster, combination/ microwave oven with grill, fridge and dishwasher. Guests have full access to the Old Forge and can come and go as they please. A small breakfast basket of delicious and homemade treats is provided for our guests first breakfast. There are several excellent cafes within a two minute walk which provide an excellent breakfast. The top of the range double sofa bed is extremely comfortable. The Old Forge provides a peaceful and private retreat for guests in the middle of Midhurst. There is a tranquil garden in which guests are welcome to relax. Private front door access and off-road car parking. Beautiful walled garden which guests a welcome to enjoy. The perfect place for a short break! I prefer to welcome my guests personally at the beginning of their stay. Guests have the Old Forge to themselves, however, I live locally and will be on hand to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Midhurst and the surrounding area has much to offer; I am more than happy to discuss and advise guests on the local area before and during their stay. The Old Forge is centrally located within the conservation area of the historic market town of Midhurst, which is in the heart the South Downs National Park. It is ideally located for visits to Goodwood, Cowdray Park, Portsmouth, National Trust houses at Petworth, Uppark and Woolbeding. The perfect place for a short break with the opportunity to visit local vineyards and independent breweries. We are close to bus routes. There is choice of car, walking or bus. Guests are also welcome to bring bikes; secure storage is available.
