Wilderness Wagon - Gypsy Wagon in Sussex
Wilderness Wagon is a bow top gypsy wagon which is located in Lindfield Rural. The wagon is located in the bottom corner of our acre garden. Guests enjoy their own private gated haven with the most incredible view of the wild field that adjoins our property. The outdoor area offers cooking amenities and an al fresco dining space. Shower facilities and toilet are next to the wagon. We have some of the most beautiful walks in the area and some cracking local pubs Follow us @wilderness_wagon Secluded location with beautiful walks and stunning views. The gypsy wagon is unique and offers a special overnight experience with modern decor. The wagon is located at the far end of our acre garden, so is very private. We have a shack where the bathroom facilities are located as well as the outdoor dining space and kitchenette area. Within the wagon, there are tea / coffee making facilities, all the equipment you require for cooking as well as a small fridge to keep your food and drink cool. There is also an induction hob, if you’re not cooking over the fire or on the bbq. We ask our guests to use the outbuilding to cook under rather than within the wagon. We supply loads of board games so there is no excuse to get bored! There are plenty of plug sockets in the wagon but no TV. If you fancy watching something, please download before hand as its countryside Internet. You are welcome to come up to the house to get a better connection! Enjoy a BBQ on the fire pit and dine alfresco or light the fire and snuggle under the stars. There is a heater in the wagon so it’s nice and toasty during the colder months. There is no heating in the shack and bathroom. We send a guide closer to arrival to all our favourite places to spend a day and eat and drink We welcome small housetrained dogs but must know in advance if you are planning on bringing your pet. Ideally 1 dog maximum please due to the size of the wagon. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Guests have their own gated area but please enjoy our beautiful garden. We have some stunning plants and the squirrels and deer love popping in for a visit. We have placed some popular board games in the wagon for your entertainment We can have as much or as little interaction as our guests desire. Matt and I are both very sociable and are very experienced hosts. We are located in a village called Scaynes Hill, Lindfield Rural. There are some wonderful pubs nearby for when you want to dine out. The Sloop Inn, Snowdrop, Farmers are all walking distance. Lindfield Coffee Works is amazing for breakfast and is a short drive away. We are right on the Sussex border path and have some stunning walks close by in Costells Woods, Walstead School and many more adventures! There is a petrol station nearby if you don’t want to drive to collect any essentials. But, we recommend doing your shopping in Lindfield. The fruit and veg shop offers a wide selection and Cottenhams butchers have some delicious meats. Theres a coop in Lindfield as well as a Tesco metro. If you need a bigger supermarket you need to head into Haywards Heath where you’ll find Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. There are also some lovely shops in Lindfield where we have sourced some of the items in the wagon. The nearest town in Haywards Heath which is a 10 minute drive away. We have parking available for our guests in our drive. There are some wonderful cycle routes in the area so highly recommend bringing a bike if you fancy a cycle! Plenty of stunning walks on our doorstep! Tea and coffee facilities are in the wagon as well as a little fridge so you can cook in the alfresco dining area. We have a lovely vizsla called Rufus who is rather energetic. He is very friendly but can also be a little bouncy. He will not enter your private garden. We also have a little kitten called Nim, she is very friendly and curious. During the colder months, make sure you bring your wellies!
