France-Normandy, charm and calm

Two hours west of Paris, converted stone stables in the beautiful region of Le Perche, near the historic town of Mortagne au Perche. Sleeps up to 7, but extra beds can be made available upon request. Charmingly rustic with lovely views. Calm, quiet, cosy. Close to fabulous forests for hiking or riding and delightful villages for exploring and soaking up the pleasures of the French lifestyle. Wifi available. The house is situated on seven hectares, and surrounded by a small wood and open fields. It's rustic, and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, including an electric oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer. Sheets, quilts, blankets and towels are provided. The upstairs area is a large open loft with a fireplace in the lounge area, a large play or reading area and a bedroom sectioned off by bookshelves, in which there is a comfortable Queen-size bed. There are also two single beds in the loft space. There are two smaller bedrooms downstairs, equipped with three single beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a large, deep bath and the other with a "rain" shower. There are also two toilets. The house itself, the garden area, parking and paddocks. We love welcoming people to our property and can be on the spot most times to provide any extra support or solve any problems. The property is close to the historic town of Mortagne au Perche, in the heart of France's most forested region. It's also close to numerous other delightful villages that exemplify the delightful French country lifestyle and provide for hours of exploring, browsing antique shops and discovering local products and cuisine. The region provides some exceptional horse riding opportunities, great walks and bike rides. It also offers a rich cultural calendar, and boasts two first class annual music festivals, Les Musicales de Mortagne and Le septembre musicale de l'Orne. There is no public transport available near the house. Guests will need their own vehicles.
