The 'Get-away' Studio - views in to Kings Forest

The Studio is located on Wideham Farm with the Kings Forest immediately at your doorstep. Guests enjoy an open plan living space with double bed, kitchen and lounge area, separate bathroom with shower, basin and WC. It is centrally heated, linen and complimentary tea and coffee is provided for your stay. Ideal weekend retreat, perfect for walking or exploring the local area. Located just outside the village of West Stow, ten minutes drive from Bury St Edmunds. Wideham Farm is a relatively new property, built around Wideham Barn, which dates back to before the 1800's. All the buildings have been built and renovated within keeping of the property's style and history, and is set on 47 acres adjacent to Kings Forest. All our guests comment on the site being so tranquil and peaceful and is well-known for chilling out and recharging the batteries. Come sample the magic of Wideham for yourself. The horse turnouts and field area are with permission only from the owners. Please feel free to watch if any horses are being trained in the school during your stay. The owners live on site and are always available to help with any suggestions of places to visit, eat etc. You have immediate access to Kings Forest, it is literally 5 paces from your door step! The West Stow Country Park and Anglo Saxon Centre are opposite. We are a ten minute drive from the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, and 15 minute drive from the racing town of Newmarket. Something for everyone! We offer maps for walking in the forest for walking and cycling, and have a handout with ideas of local places to visit and places to eat. Whilst the local bus service does stop in the village of West Stow, the bus stop is approx a mile away. The closest public house is less than a 5 minute drive away, or an approx 2 mile walk through the forest and via a Public Footpath. Unfortunately there is no where in the village other than the Anglo Saxon Centre to eat, offering breakfast, light lunches, afternoon tea. We have a local guide available in the homes for our guests to help plan the stay.
