Cosy stables cottage in the beautiful Chess Valley

The Barn at Blackwell Lodge is a newly converted living space with a double bed in the loft space and a sofa bed in the living area. The unit is self contained and has heating, a kitchenette with a fridge, and a new bathroom with rain shower. The cosy barn offers privacy with an enclosed patio and access to the well known (and beautiful!) Chess Valley walk that crosses at your doorstep. The quaint village of Latimer as well as the towns of Amersham and Chesham (25 mins from London) are nearby. The Barn at Blackwell Lodge is converted from a former working barn and is cosy and quirky with everything you may need for a stay. The location is perfect for those who love walking in the beautiful Chilterns whilst remaining close to town. The barn is near to our main house, but sits on our property of 11 acres, which includes part of the Chess Valley River. There is a double bed upstairs in the loft (via a ladder) and a sofa bed downstairs. Outside your door you have access to an enclosed patio with seating for 4 and a fire pit and charcoal barbecue. The Barn at Blackwell Lodge is fully enclosed and has privacy but we are nearby should you need anything. You are welcome to walk in our fields and beyond. We follow all COVID guidelines and restrictions so checkin and checkout are contactless. Before your arrival I will give you my mobile number should you need anything. The neighbourhood is quiet and in the countryside, but is a 5 minute drive to Amersham with shopping, restaurants, and both the tube and train into London. The property is on the popular Chess Valley Walk and is surrounded by fields. The Barn at Blackwell Lodge is close to the tube and train station in Amersham (1.5 miles) and the tube in Chesham (1.7 miles). Parking is available on the property. Please note that Blackwell Hall Lane is a one lane country road (no HGVs). Bring wellies! Also, there is no oven or stove in the kitchen; however, there is a fridge, sink, microwave and kettle. We will provide tea, and there are many nearby restaurants that deliver. If you need bedding for the sofa bed or wood for the fire pit please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Please provide your own charcoal if you would like to barbecue. Checkin in after 2pm and checkout is before 10am. The main bedroom is accessible via a ladder only. You might want to bring slippers for the ladder.
