With a glamorous double bed with warm down duvet, you can enjoy a relaxing break in comfort. We have also provided full facilities for tea, coffee and basic cooking. We have a fully stocked kitchen unit for all your needs and also have a wonderful heater to keep you warm. The local village of Combs is just 5 minutes walk away and has a wonderful traditional pub as well as other local amenities. Chapel-en-le-frith, a lovely market town, is a short drive away and has a full range of shops and supermarkets. There are many fantastic walks that can be taken straight outside the front door of our yurt and we are also exceptionally close to the Hope Valley, a mere 10 minute drive away. Fantastic scenic walks, pubs and shops await as well as some excellent activities such as exploring the various historic caves of Castleton. The area is also popular with paragliders and hang glider pilots who can often be seen thermaling high above the valley on a hot summers day. The area is also popular with climbers and the popular crag of Castle Naze is a short walk away. Fishing and sailing is also popular and on most weekends you will be able to watch the sailing boats on the nearby reservoir from the site. Our yurt comes with a BBQ and chimera so you can light a fire, cook some food and watch the sunset over the nearby hills. We are completely off-grid. We have an excellent array of solar lighting installed for you comfort and pleasure. We also supply USB charging ports to keep your electronic devices topped up. You are free to use the campsite facilities at your leisure. We have toilets and shower rooms as well as washing up facilities, always kept to a clean, high standard. The yurt is next to the Chapel-en-le-frith train line. There are paths from the campsite that follow the tracks. You can be at the station within 20mins! Perfect for an excursion further afield or if you want to arrive by train. Make yourself at home. The yurt is all yours! A great local pub is just 10min walk away for a great meal and drinks. Combs is a small hamlet situated between Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith and the beautiful spa town of Buxton. It’s positioned perfectly for those wanting to get away from it all, but still be close enough to a wide variety of activities and small bustling towns. Combs village is sheltered by some impressive hills including Ladder Hill and Combs Edge. The lanes, byway and footpaths which encircle Ladder Hill give some very impressive views. There are regular trains to Chapel-en-le-Frith train station. The train line runs right by the campsite. You can walk from the train station to the campsite in approximately 40mins on the main road or 20 minutes if you follow well marked paths. It is approximately a 2 Mile walk.
