Situated in the town of Leek, this home is ideal for singles, couples or friends who want to take a mini break in the fab Peak District countryside. Close to beautiful scenery and many points of interest, including the Roaches, Alton Towers and various old market towns. The house is a small two story terrace set in a quiet location on the outskirts of town with ample parking available. Owned by an Antique dealer, the home has a quirky, fun decor and a fab Scandinavian log burning fire. The house is quirky, dating from the 1800s. It has steep steps and a cobbled path leading up to the property. It is elevated making it lovely and peaceful and we've always plenty of birds in the garden for you to watch over breakfast. The loft room ( bedroom 2) has a set of boat steps leading to it, which may be problematic for very young children. If you yourself struggle with steps this isn't the property for for you. The house is situated on the edge of Leek, its a short 10 minute walk into town. We've a Sainsbury's very close by, just a 5 min walk, which is a convenient distance for those last minute supplies. Whole house and garden We won't be close by, but always at the end of the phone if you need help or advise with the local area. The old Market town of Leek is famous for its Antiques and has plenty more to offer if antiques aren't your thing. The Saturday market is always worth a visit to find interesting curios. When you've finished exploring the market there are lots of cafes and pubs. Spout coffee house and Den Engles are particular favourites of ours, but there are many more. The lazy trout in Meerbrook, is also a must. It is a short drive from our house, or if you'd rather walk, there is a beautiful footpath that provides views over the roaches. Walking this way you will spot Tittesworth Reservoir in the distance, which is a great place to take children and if you like water, Rudyard Lake is on our doorstep, great for boating, walking and fishing. We love walking in our local area, we've plenty of books and maps to hep you get around. The town of leek has a bus station and plenty of taxis. The neighbouring towns of Macclesfield and Stoke both have train stations. No Microwave on site.
