This 500 year old cottage is the perfect retreat for a romantic weekend away or a group/family holiday close to tourist attractions in the beautiful setting of Faversham. The property is approximately 500 years old, features a stunning hand carved four poster bed, wood burner, country kitchen/dining area and a beautiful garden which leads to a stream at the end. Full of character and charm. Spacious Lounge area with a good size sofa bed. Permits provided for parking. Fast wifi, 43" smart TV. Situated in the heart of Faversham and only a five minute walk to the market place where you will find a thriving market and relaxing coffee shops and restaurants. Many fine pubs are all in walking distance including two pubs within one minute from your front door. A beautiful country garden includes two patio areas with tables and seating to allow alfresco dining. You can sit at the bench at the end of the garden for dinner and drinks secluded by the surrounding trees and watch the stream go by, feed the ducks, coots and squirrels and you may see the kingfisher and bats which occasionally fly along the stream. The main bedroom has a beautiful king size four poster and there is a small bedroom at the rear of the cottage with a small double bed and the sofa in the lounge converts to a comfy double bed. So will sleep six if required. All cooking utensils to cook a meal are in the fully functional country kitchen and this includes a table which will seat six if required. (Let us know if six required and we will drop off a couple of extra chairs). Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector fitted for your safety. Fast 20mbs free wifi, new 43" smart TV, large selection of books and board games for your entertainment. Whole House and Garden We live round the corner so will be available when needed. Our cottage is situated in a quiet street, where we will provide you with a Parking Permit. 5 minutes walk to Faversham centre. There are two friendly pubs at the end of the road. One of which shows all the Sky and BT sports. 5 minute walk to town centre. 8 minute walk to Railway station which serves the Kent coast including Whitstable and Margate and Canterbury and Dover as well. London is 1hr 6 mins away and includes Victoria, St Pancras and London Bridge directly. 10 minutes drive to Canterbury and Whitstable. 5 minute drive to a quiet beach (Seasalter)where you can take a BBQ or picnic or eat at an award winning restaurant. Beautiful walks around Faversham Creek and the surrounding area. We leave a house bible in the cottage which hopefully covers all the information you need.
