Red Kite Cottage, Newly refurbished eco-space

Red Kite Cottage is a small, cosy and welcoming space. There are 2 comfy double bedrooms and an excellent new shower room. A sitting room, dining room, kitchen with new appliances, and french windows lead to an extensive terrace, overlooking a long garden. It has a new wood burning stove, TV and wifi. It is good base to explore the surrounding area, or have a quiet few days, walking and enjoying the long garden overlooking fields behind. Both pubs in the village are good with excellent food. We welcome well behaved pets and there is plenty of outside space for them to enjoy. The garden is safely enclosed. Easton on the Hill is a pretty small village only 2 miles from the beautiful Georgian stone town of Stamford. The village is surrounded by excellent walks, has a lovely ancient Church and 2 pubs, the Bluebell and the Exeter Arms. Both have lovely bar areas and serve excellent food. There are good walks, not least into Stamford through the Welland Valley. Collyweston Quarries Nature Reserve, known locally as 'The Deeps' is a designated SSI, with its entrance, about 100 yards from the Cottage. For nature lovers, these are wildflower rich ancient limestone grasslands and offer beautiful walking. Ideally a guest needs a car, but Stamford station is only 2.5 miles distant, and has trains direct into Peterborough - only 12 minutes. From here there is direct access to London, Kings Cross, Cambridge and Stansted airport.
