Aunt Hélène's house
The small cottage "the house of Aunt Helena" approved 2 stars, is housed in a very old house built in the ancient medieval city of Dun le Chastel, stronghold of the Dukes of Lorraine. It is located on the hill of Dun Sur Meuse and rented by the week from Saturday to Saturday from April to the end of October. From the garden you can admire the hills, the fields, the neighboring woods and the river flowing below. Please note this cottage can only accommodate one or two people. a single bedroom with two 80x200 beds that can be put together to make one. The place is very quiet, and relaxing. On site there are beautiful walks, on foot, by bicycle, a lake for swimming, good spots for fishing in the river, a Gallery dedicated to the world famous Sculptor Jean Robert Ipoustéguy. shops, bakeries, convenience stores, pharmacy, post office, bank, restaurants, cafes ..... A few kilometers away: Stenay, its beer museum, its architecture. Montmédy and the Vauban fortifications, Argonne: Romagne sous Montfaucon and its American cemetery, museum 14/18, Montfaucon en Argonne, Varennes ……. Verdun, Douaumont: the trenches of the great war, the memorial, the underground citadel… .. but also the cathedral, the Princerie museum, the quai de Londres ……. Let yourself be tempted by a stay in the north Meusien, come and discover its green colors, its wild side, its tranquility ..... the ideal place to relax
