Elaine and Giles’s retreat

The suite includes a full kitchen, family room and private bedroom, with a private bath, all situated downstairs with a tranquil view of the East Bay Hills with lots of trees. We are a 30 minute drive to San Francisco, 10 minutes to Berkeley, 30 minutes to the wine country, and 15 minutes to Larkspur Landing in Marin county where you can take a ferry into downtown San Francisco. Ride sharing companies charge between $30 to $40 from SF or Oakland airports. We offer a bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen, and living room that are not shared. Please note however, that this is a SHARED SPACE. Our co-host uses hallway and a second bedroom and private bathroom. We have severe pet allergies and cannot accommodate service animals in the shared space. Your bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed, expansive desk for working, TV with Netflix and Roku, dresser drawer, and small private deck. Your living room includes a comfortable single bed and a sofa bed and also a small private deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with all essentials for cooking. The bathroom is sparkling clean, also with all essentials. In addition, our place includes a patio deck, patio furnishings and a tranquil hot tub. You have access to the upstairs deck with an awesome view of San Francisco Bay and Marin county including Angel Island and Mount Tamalpais. Downstairs, you have your own kitchen, living room, and private bedroom with a small private deck overlooking the peaceful East Bay hills. You also have a sparkling clean private bathroom. Please note that downstairs is a shared space that has an additional bedroom and separate bathroom which is used by our co-host, Ruby. We have severe pet allergies and cannot accommodate service animals in the shared space. Giles loves to hike and he is available to introduce you to the great trails in the area. Some trails have water views and others have views of San Francisco and the East Bay. Our street ends where the hiking trails begin so you'll see plenty of hikers and dog walkers. View of Angel Island from this lovely home. It's a 10 minute walk to Keller Beach or the village of Point Richmond where you can enjoy the shops, restaurants, and farmer's market. Public transportation is a 10 minute walk to AC Transit bus (which connects with rapid transit (BART) and Golden Gate Transit Bus (which connects with the Larkspur Landing Ferry (Marin County). A trip to San Francisco (driving) is 30 minutes (non commute time) and public transportation is 45 minutes to an hour. Ride sharing companies charge around $30 to 40 from San Francisco or Oakland international airports. We can accommodate up to 4 guests. The private bedroom has 1 queen-sized bed and 1 private bathroom. The living room includes a couch which lets out to a queen sized sofa bed, and a twin-sized bed.
