Griebelschied is located in the beautiful Hunsrück, about 5 km from Kirn and was also filming location in the movie Heimat. In Kirn you will find all shops (Edeka, Rewe, Aldi, Lidl). In addition, we have in Griebelschied a butcher with sausage and meat products from our own slaughter -very recommendable. Our region is suitable for hikers, cyclists, and bikers. There are many hiking trails that want to be explored. But also cycling along the Nahe is great fun. The bikers get their money's worth on our winding roads, rest during the activities can be wonderful when visiting castles or mines. The gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein is about 18 km from Griebelschied. There you can visit the gemstone museum, gemstone grinding and gemstone mines.
