The Cabin

Set in a peaceful rural location, 10 mins from the heart of Guildford, this wonderful little space affords totally self-contained comfort and privacy. We like to provide the extra touches to make you feel more at home on your holiday :) The Cabin is surrounded by trees & wildlife abounds happily. Awake to birdsong galore! ***COVID19*** We deep-clean between stays, so you can book with confidence! One of us is vulnerable to this virus. Please don’t book if you know you pose a risk. Thank you :) Expect lush greenery & clean comfy digs, with your own entry and thermal blackout blinds for privacy/good sleep. Countryside setting: packed with foxes, deer and all sorts of birdlife. It can get naturally noisy, but it's pretty great noise! Happy family with dogs, cats & chickens living on site! Upon arrival, you'll see ours is the property on the left - No.1. The dogs will likely be noisy at first - don’t take it personally, they bark for us too! The Cabin is next door to our home. You can easily call upon us if you need anything. We are easy to get along with... Whilst we love our furry/feathered family, we appreciate that not all do... We have erected a fence & gate to keep the animals out back, since the dogs bark and the chickens chase! You’ll also notice a special rock by one of the cabin windows - this is to cat-proof it for guests, as our young lad would come in & make himself at home given any opportunity! There is an absolute wealth of amenities around us! The closest village, Shalford, boasts a wonderful Stores & Snooty Fox Cafe, Post Office, barbers, Boots chemist and David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Gallery. Not to mention a delicious Thai restaurant and a couple of pubs! Bramley village is the other direction, with more cafe's, shops, pubs and restaurants - and great Fish & Chips! Of course, Guildford town centre is also just a 5 min drive from the house, as is Godalming… Easily access walks aplenty from here, with the rolling Surrey Hills on the doorstep and the River Wey around the corner. We are spoilt for choice! One of our particular favourites is the Mane Chance Sanctuary, who run monthly open days for people to see the wonderful horses in their care. You can book with them for more personal meet ’n’ greets too. Details at (Website hidden by Airbnb) Nearest train station is Shalford, on the Reading/Gatwick line. Guildford is also close, from there you can get to London Waterloo in 37 minutes! The Cabin is not huge, so we haven't included The Kitchen Sink! You're most welcome to wash up bits in the bathroom basin but, if you prefer, we are happy to give you daily replacements of plates/cups/etc... Just let us know. DIY Breakfast included - fruit/bread/cereals, milk, tea & coffee provided. If you would like to arrange anything special do let us know and we'll see what we can do :)
