Mill Cottage
My place is close to the high street of steyning which is a quaint and historical town located on the edge of the south downs national park. It has an array of quirky independant shops catering for all tastes , it is on a direct link to Brighton and the coats as well as walking distance to the south downs. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends ( pets ) . Mill Cottage is a characterful and cosy 1 bed cottage , exposed wooden beams throughout and stuffed full of period features but with the luxury of all the mod cons located down a hidden Twitten in the heart of the Steyning conservation area and within a stones throw of the high street with all the amenities. The cottage itself is mixture of old and new - the building is old but the amenities are new with gas fired central heating , underfloor heating in the bathroom and an electric wood burner in the lounge to keep the chill off on those cool summer or long winter evenings. This is an old property however full of charm but be aware of the low ceilings downstairs and the low doorways throughout. Also please pay special attention to the steep, open and wooden staircase in the property with a rope bannister as this may not suit guests with limited mobility... A beautiful 1 bed cottage with a rear but separate patio garden. They are old workers cottages with a quirky layout to the gardens and not always directly attached to the property. Also the parking is located on the road at the front of the main row of cottages and although there is no restrictions it is mainly on a first come first serve basis. Although having said that I never do struggle to find a parking place when I am at the cottage and regrettably this is the south east of england where parking is at a premium and somewhat limited. As often as is needed for them to have an enjoyable stay. The cottage is located in the conservation area of Steyning and within 5 minutes walk to the high street and direct access onto the South Downs . There are good bus routes to Shoreham and Brighton on the south coast and Burgess Hill and Horsham to the north of the county all with main line train stations. There is an extra storage shed which is very useful for bicycles.
