Ahlan Wa Sahlan & Welcome to Petra! Our Nawafleh tribe has been sharing Jordanian hospitality with visitors to Petra since the first westerners came in the 19th century. Now, in addition to the hotels, guided hikes, family dinners, history tours, and transportation that are in our purview, we are excited to welcome visitors to our Airbnb who are seeking an authentic Jordan experience. Daily delicious breakfast of local specialties and transfers to/from Petra (6 minute drive) are included. We invite you to enjoy the best of both worlds when you stay with us! You will be part of the family while enjoying a private room in a guest apartment. The apartment hosts a maximum of 9 guests in 3 private bedrooms, sharing a common living room, kitchen and outdoor patio. This listing is for one triple room with EN-HOUSE private bathroom. The bedroom can be configured to have 3 single beds or 1 king bed with 1 single bed. Please let us know your preference. It is inside a second apartment in the family home, with a separate private entrance. We invite you to join each morning in an authentic and delicious local breakfast, taken either with the family on the patio or in their dining area, or in the privacy of your own living room with other apartment guests. You will have secure key access to the apartment, which includes the following public space: -Living Room -Kitchen -Patio Plus, key access to the bedroom(s) you have rented. If you haven't visited before, you'll quickly learn that we Jordanians are warm, outgoing, and look forward to sharing our culture and traditions with you. A member of the family is always available to you next door, or by (Hidden by Airbnb) . Our Airbnb is best for guests who want to engage with locals and experience a glimpse of family life here while taking time to visit the famous sites. The apartment is on a hillside of Wadi Musa (the Valley of Moses), in our family's neighborhood overlooking the mountains of Petra. There are four main tribes living in Wadi Musa, and ours is one of the largest at about (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) people. So when we say it is our neighborhood, we mean that nearly everyone living here is part of the Al Nawafleh family, and by extension, part of your own. It is a very safe and tranquil area... much different from the tourist streets outside of the gates of Petra! There is a small local supermarket only 2 minutes walking from the apartment. The gates of the ancient city of Petra are 8 minutes away by car. We will provide a complimentary transfer in the morning to Petra and in the late afternoon returning to the apartment. We easily arrange additional transports for you to downtown Wadi Musa (where you'll find the souk, restaurants, and tourist shops), or anywhere else you need to go if you don't have a car. Here in Wadi Musa, locals don't use taxis, but instead pay 2JD per one-way trip to transport drivers. If you will be driving, there is street parking available in front of the apartment. Please let us know your arrival information so that we can provide directions or transfer information. As mentioned above, our family is one of the primary families involved in tourism in the region. Personally, I am the Managing Director of Jordan Allure Tours, a full-service licensed tour operator and travel agency for visitors coming to Jordan. Each trip that we create for clients is customized and can include: -Free visitor visa to Jordan (available from most countries - ask for details) -Airport Transfers (to/from Amman or Aqaba airports to any location in Jordan) -Privately guided programs of 3-14 days throughout Jordan -Private tours of Petra with licensed guide -Hiking excursions on the trails of Petra and surrounding areas with private guide and fresh BBQ lunch cooked on the trail -Horseback riding on trails in the hills overlooking Petra -Cooking classes in the homes of local women -Traditional dinner feast and cultural exchange with local family -Bedouin camping at the most fun camps in Wadi Rum, with jeep and camel excursions -Snorkeling and/or scuba diving on the Red Sea in Aqaba -Amman accommodations and private tours -Family-friendly tours and activities throughout Jordan -Resort stays at the Dead Sea -And much more!
