Private "Tally-Ho" Suite in Historic Tip Top Manor

As guests have observed, Tip Top is much more than a stay, it's an experience. The private Tally-Ho Suite has been fully renovated and includes large screen cable HDTV, WIFI, Ethernet, tower fan, yoga mat, robes/slippers, Keurig coffee/tea service, snacks, bottled water, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and toiletries. The Suite has a bright, spacious Bedroom with King bed, Sitting Area, a desk and work area, and a large delightful Spa Bathroom with Kohler whirlpool and glass shower. Tip Top Farm, of which only the farm's Manor House remains today, was an equestrian estate that was an important part of the storied Great Gatsby era "Gilded Age" of Social Registers, Fox Hunting, Horse Polo and Jumping. The Tally-Ho Suite has been fully renovated and tastefully appointed to capture the essence of this unique bygone period, with all amenities including a bright, spacious Bedroom with King bed, an expansive Sitting Area, and an En-suite Spa Bathroom with Kohler whirlpool and glass shower. Your 2 room Tally-Ho Suite is totally private, accessed by a separate staircase & hallway. Your spacious Bedroom is bathed with natural light from three windows, with two walk-in closets, built-in bureau unit, and writing/work desk. Your Spa bathroom is also bright and spacious with two windows, and you can relax & unwind in our Kohler whirlpool. Our home is perfect for couples enjoying a cozy & private romantic getaway, working persons, and solo travelers in a quiet tranquil setting, but with all modern conveniences while still close to restaurants, shopping, transportation, Philadelphia and other points of interest. In addition to the Tally-Ho Suite, we also offer accommodations in another separate area of the house, which is listed with Airbnb as "The Huntsman Suite", which can be accessed by a separate search through Airbnb, or directly at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/22795868. Just to be clear, we have three separate Suites in our home. Two Suites are offered through Airbnb: the Tally-Ho Suite and the Huntsman Suite. The third Suite is our own bedroom area. You are staying in the house with us, but you come and go through the front door with a separate driveway, parking area and front door while we use another separate driveway and parking area and we come and go through the back door. The three Suite areas are physically separated, so if you want privacy there is plenty. The Tally-Ho Suite is totally private and consists of the entire second floor (bedroom area, sitting area, and attached bathroom) of a 20th century addition to the original house, accessible only by guests who book the Tally-Ho Suite. The Huntsman Suite is also totally private and consists of the entire second floor of the original farmhouse, circa (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , and includes the bedroom with sitting area, spa bathroom, and work/study room. The Huntsman Suite is accessible only by guests who book this Suite. As a guest visiting for work or pleasure, we encourage you to take advantage of a fresh-air break on our expansive, private courtyard patios, or relax in the magical seating area next to the Koi pond while soaking up the melodious sounds of the babbling brook. We are available and always willing to help our guests enjoy their stay. We are very knowledgeable about the area and its many attractions. Philadelphia Center City is only 44 minutes away by train or car (24.8 miles). Ambler is 8 minutes away by car (3.6 miles), 6 minutes by train. Doylestown is 20 minutes by car (11.9 miles), 37 minutes by train. King of Prussia Mall is 26 minutes by car (11.4 miles). Grocery stores (Whole Foods, Wegmans) are 5 to 7 minutes by car (2.2 to 3.6 miles). World-famous Longwood Gardens is less than 1 hour away by car (39.2 miles). Formerly a horse farm and equestrian training center, our neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and tranquil, situated alongside the Wissahickon Creek in the most prestigious area in Montgomery County. Our home is on a cul-de-sac, with no through traffic. It is a short walk (6-8 min) to the SEPTA train station, with frequent service to center city Philadelphia (40 min) and Philadelphia International Airport (1 hr. 20 min.) The PA Turnpike and other Interstate highways are a short distance away (4-5 miles). The nearest shops are a five-minute drive in various directions. There are 2 major shopping malls at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes driving distance. Valley Forge National Park and King of Prussia lie close by to the west. Doylestown with its quaint streets, shops, museums and restaurants is close by to the north. Next door, to the south, lies Ambler, experiencing a renaissance in its unique restaurants, theater, and playhouse. And, for those interested in history, Montgomery County takes great pride in its collection of restored properties from the Colonial era, all open to the public. There is a wonderful creekside hiking trail within short walking distance (6-8 min), including access to a nearby nature preserve. There is an Italian restaurant 7-10 minutes walk away. There are also many restaurants of various cuisines within a short driving distance (5-10 min.) For bicyclists, our neighborhood lies astride one of Pennsylvania's premier bicycling routes, Bike Route S, the longest Bicycle PA Route, extending 435 miles from Washington County (east of Wheeling, W VA) to Washington Crossing Military Park on the Delaware River in neighboring Bucks County. The train station to/from Philadelphia (40 min) and Int'l Airport (1hr, 20min) is a 6 to 8 minute walk away. Parking at the station is also available. Bus service runs nearby along US Route 202; the bus stop is an 8 to 10 minute walk away. We respect the privacy of our guests. You can relax in the quiet privacy & comfort of your Suite, and also avail yourself of the Patios, Pond and Gardens. Free off-street private parking is available on site, directly adjacent to the private, key-less and secure entrance.
