Luxury Self Contained Annexe in a Beautiful Barn

The Little Old Barn is a cosy newly refurbished self-contained annexe, set in the picturesque village of WOODBOROUGH, surrounded by the beautiful Nottinghamshire Countryside but with excellent road links to both NOTTINGHAM & NEWARK. Belonging once to the house next door where William LEE invented the Stocking Frame in 1589. Ideally situated within minutes of the village pubs & close to many local attractions including SOUTHWELL MINSTER ,SHERWOOD FOREST NEWSTEAD ABBEY & CLUMBER PARK. THE LITTLE OLD BARN consists of a private entry stable door, kitchenette, snug/dining space, en-suite bedroom and corridor with a door that leads to our accommodation lockable from both sides. Central Heating & double glazing. The SNUG /DINING ROOM has a large single sofa bed, dining table and chairs, Smart TV with NETFLIX & an electric fire. The BEDROOM is furnished with a DOUBLE solid oak bed with luxury Emma mattress and hotel grade bedding along with a PILLOW MENU. Oak dressing table and mirror with an upholstered chair and bedside drawers. There is plenty of hanging and storage space in the walk in wardrobe which also has a full length mirror, a cordless Dyson and a steam iron and ironing board. You will also find LUXURY EGYPTIAN COTTON BATHROBES in here. A hairdryer is also provided. The En-SUITE consists of a large shower cubicle with an electric power shower. Wall hung toilet, sink unit with handy storage and a demisting lighted mirror with built in shaver point. Bath and hand towels along with toiletries are provided. The KITCHENETTE is equipped with everything you need to prepare simple meals including a microwave with grill, fridge with integral freezer, kettle,toaster, sandwich maker, cafetière and a slow cooker. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO OVEN OR HOB. A quartz worktop and mini Belfast sink complete this lovely space. Outside is parking for 1 car and a private south facing landscaped courtyard with MAZE RATTAN garden furniture. There is also a large grassed area that is perfect for a picnic sat on a blanket whilst enjoying the views across the rolling countryside hills. Aiming for a HIGH QUALITY LUXURY EXPERIENCE we have renovated the annexe using solid oak doors, limestone floor tiles and hand forged door fixings along with fabrics from Laura Ashley, Romo, Sophie Alport and Dusk. The walls have been painted using Farrow & Ball paint. No expense has been spared to ensure your stay is comfortable. A WELCOME HAMPER is included with starter portions of tea, coffee, sugar & milk. Super easy check in and check out with our key safe. PLEASE NOTE: There are a couple of steps both inside & outside the property making it unsuitable for wheelchair users. The annexe is attached to our home and although a totally separate space you may hear us from time to time. We also have a very chilled Cockapoo Teddy. Sorry but children under 12 and pets are not allowed Cyclists are welcome & we are happy to store bikes in our garage. It is advisable to bring slippers as we have a no shoe policy and the flooring can get a little cold. One parking space is provided at the property with plenty of free parking on the road for extra vehicles. The village has all you need for a lovely little break including 2 pubs & a shop selling local bread & produce. A pop up PIZZA visits the village once a month whilst once a week THE LITTLE RED COFFEE VAN & THE LITTLE GREEN KITCHEN provide beautiful coffee & delicious VEGAN meals. We have our own Gin in the village, ORCHARD GIN, along with homemade fudge from FUDGOLOGY, HONEY & the best JAMS made by Janet using the fruit from her orchards. Woodborough also boasts its own ALPACA FARM, FISHING LAKE, TENNIS COURTS & a HEALTH CLUB as well as numerous buildings of historical interest. Everyone is so friendly. There is so much to do in the local area, whether its walking, eating or retail therapy we can provide you with the information to get the most from your stay. We are also ideally situated for the newly opened LAKESIDE WEDDING VENUE & THE PARK HOSPITAL both a 10 minute drive away. The best way of getting around is by car but we do have lots of beautiful walks on our doorstep The village has a bus service that goes to NOTTINGHAM and Taxi services are available.
